Received a message from a good friend today. A friend of his is waiting for a heart transplant. Can we show our support to Demetrius? Major prayers and encouragement are very much needed. He has been in the hospital for several months, his spirits are low and he misses his young children dearly and is also struggling with finances during this time. If you feel led and can make a donation, it would be greatly appreciated. He is working on updating his GoFundPage, but is having difficulty, so please be patient until he gets that figured out. Below is a post from his close friend, whom I know personally.

We are Brothers. How many people have urged checking on a brother in need, in some long, random, drawn out post that didn't really have the emergency component being described? Today's situation is straightforward: Brother Demetrius Brown, aka "Horse," is fighting for his life, eager to reunite with his three young children. He awaits a heart transplant at UM Hospital, 1500 E Medical Center Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48109, Unit 4-C. Despite his positivity, he's isolated, awaiting visits or news of the nine-hour surgery granting him a new lease on life.

Carter’s last homebound teacher and now dear friend enrolled her little one in daycare.
She sent me a picture of one of the forms she had to sign.

A signature verifying she had received information/education on Shaken Baby Syndrome, “Carter’s Law”.

I know Carter’s Law is still in place, but I get chills every time someone sends me information like this.
Thank you Alyssa for making my heart smile so big today. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

I have been missing Carter so much lately and this sure changed my mood today to such a proud mama. The strength and pure joy he had every day is a gentle reminder for me to not be so sad.
It’s hard but mamas trying buddy.
