Some very exciting news!!

As you all know we were able to pick some amazing barrels at Traverse City Whiskey Co. last year. One a bourbon and the other a Rye.

We then took those barrels to one of our great partners BAD Brewing to have them age some craft beers. One of those beers has matured and is ready to be released.

Part 1 of 2-Barrel Aged Beer Series:

Maple Porter aged in the TC Rye Barrel. The Rye barrel was a very special barrel that was over 10 years and was 120 proof. The Maple Porter has been aging over a year in the Rye barrel and will be approximately 12% ABV.

Purchase and pick-up will be through BAD Brewing. It will be sold in 12oz cans and a dollar per can will be going to CADSA! We will send out the purchase link when it goes live on Monday December 2, 2024.

Let’s support a local partner and a local charity while enjoying delicious craft beer/s over the Holidays!!

Well the time has finally come…..the much anticipated NBC barrel has been picked and bottled!!

We had an amazing pick team and we were able to choose a barrel that everyone will be very happy about. If you haven’t signed up for a bottle, get one before they are gone.

Tasting Notes:

On the nose is a nice balance of brown sugar, caramelized sugars and dark cherry that opens up slowly.

On the palate there is a nice combination of citrus, oak and cherry.

The finish is what sealed the deal for this barrel. It’s cherry and to***co with a super long finish.

As always….Cheers LAWS 🥃!!

All,

Another basket has been donated by Josh Perkins in honor of his Uncle, Retired Captain Rob Hecksel. This basket includes a Blanton's, Eagle Rare, Weller SR, and Buffalo Trace. We are greatly appreciative of this heartfelt donation from Josh.

Due to the adding of the basket, the Entry Form will be reopened to all entrants. Meaning if you have entered already, you may, but are not required, to do so again.

We have already eclipsed $2,000 for our LFD friends. They've even posted about this in their Social Media.
