Looks like there will be some unpleasant weather on Saturday so we are rescheduling our RT 13 cleanup to Sunday 10/18.

We're still meeting in the Tops parking lot at 8:45am. See you then!

This Saturday we're at it again! Our fall RT 13 litter clean up starts at 9am and we're meeting at the Tops Parking Lot in Lansing at 8:45am. Come help us keep our community clean!

Zero Waste Ithaca will be joining us and they are encouraging volunteers to use reusable bags like household mulch bags. So if you have any, please bring them and put them to good use.

See you this weekend! Learn more and sign up to volunteer at the link in the comments.

Today at Ithaca Rotary, we welcomed two international exchange students to our club!

Tom Knipe introduced Timmy from Switzerlan and Naja from Denmarkl. Their introductions gave us an opportunity to get to know the students who are spending this school year in our community.

We also celebrated birthdays and anniversaries and highlighted opportunities to serve, from ReUse sorting and Youth Exchange to our October 17 Route 13 cleanup.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s meeting possible, including Tom Knipe, Chris and Mark Haase, Bez Thomas, Mike Brown, Paul Martin, and Lenore Schwager with our thought for the day!

Next on our calendar: October 14 at noon at Moakley House, featuring RYLA students sharing their experiences.

This past Saturday was the last day for the Rotary Harvest! Ithaca Rotarians collected food for seven families who participate in the Ithaca City School District’s pre-K meal program, which is not available at the end of the summer.

The group received several generous donations from farm stands at the farmers market and then finished off the food collection at Aldi before delivering three boxes of food to each family.

Thank you for making a difference, Ithaca Rotarians! Stay tuned for the next Rotary Harvest at the end of next summer.

This past Saturday was the first day of the 2026 Ithaca Rotary Harvest! Started by Heidi Goldstein, the Rotary Harvest provides food to families who participate in the Ithaca City School District’s pre-K meal program, which is not available at the end of the summer.

The group started out with a very generous donation of tomatoes and many other farm stands at the Ithaca Farmers market also made donations to the cause

Then Rotarians shopped for more food at Aldi and gathered enough food to fill three boxes and one big bag of veggies for seven families each.

Rotary Harvest continues this Saturday August 29th and Saturday Sept 5. Contact us if you'd like to volunteer!

Thank you for making a difference, Ithaca Rotarians!

The 13th annual Rotary Road Rally was a big success yesterday! 14 cars took off from The Plantsmen Nursery, following clues along 32 miles of back roads to the finish line: the Wells College golf course. There, we ordered food while waiting for clue sheets to be graded, then prizes awarded. Congrats to first place winners Three Generations (Hymes family) for a perfect clue sheet! This event benefits Ithaca Rotary Club youth programs and scholarships. THANKS to all participants for supporting that mission!
