🌱 GUNS TO GARDENS — THIS SATURDAY 🌱

Have an unwanted fi***rm sitting in your home? Maybe it was inherited, holds painful memories, or you simply don’t want it anymore.

This Saturday, September 26th, from 1–3 PM, join us for a Guns to Gardens Community Safe Disposal Event at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 301 Saint Thomas Road, Lancaster, PA.

Bring your unloaded fi***rm stored in the trunk of your vehicle.

No judgment. No questions. Just a safe and caring way to let go of an unwanted fi***rm.

Trained volunteers will safely dismantle the fi***rms, and the pieces can be transformed by local blacksmiths into garden tools and art. 🌿

🎁 Gift cards will be offered while supplies last.

Let’s turn something that once represented harm into something that helps things grow. 🌱

Yesterday’s 2026 Peace Fest was truly special. 🧡

I’m so grateful to Lititz Church of the Brethren for inviting me to be part of such a meaningful event. A special thank you to Jennifer Mattson, Bradley Mattson, Fred Martin, Shane Claiborne, and Sue Heilman for your support, encouragement, and all that you do.

It was an honor to be included, but also very emotional. I’m not good at speaking publicly or putting my feelings into words. I’m much more comfortable helping hands-on, but sharing my story is something I continue to struggle with. Five years later, talking about what happened can still make it feel like it was just yesterday.

I’ve been praying and asking God to give me the voice and strength to speak, even when it’s difficult. I’m so grateful for the people who have walked this journey with me, supported me, and continue to stand beside me.

I’m thankful to be part of a community that comes together for peace, remembers those we’ve lost, and works toward a future where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss. 🧡🕊️

🦃🧡 6th Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal 🧡🦃

📅 November 14th | 12:00–3:00 PM

In honor of Kendell Cook and all those who have lost their lives to gun violence, we’re coming together for another year of community, remembrance, and giving back.

For the past 3 years, we have provided 500 FREE Thanksgiving meals to our community, and we’re looking to do it again this year! 🧡

We’re asking for donations of:

🍗 Food & paper products
🧼 Personal care products
🧤 Gloves, socks, hats & winter essentials

We give out personal care items and winter essentials to community members who may need extra support during the colder months.

🎤 Speakers needed to share their voices on gun violence, prevention, healing, and change.
🙌🏽 Volunteers needed!

🥪 Subs are being sold before the event to help support the Thanksgiving meal.
💰 Payment for subs is due by 10/23.

Every donation, purchase, volunteer, and helping hand makes a difference.

This is more than a meal, it’s about remembering those we’ve lost, supporting those still here, and coming together as a community. 🕊️🧡
