What an AMAZING evening with Red Rose Chapter 19 of the School Nutrition Association of Pennsylvania -SNAPA ! 🌟🐄🥛

Tonight, we had a truly unforgettable “On the Farm” experience at a Local PA Dairy Farm! Lapp Valley Farms !

A huge THANK YOU to Lapp’s Valley Farm for graciously hosting us as they celebrate their 50th anniversary! 🎉 Their family-run farm shared the incredible behind-the-scenes work that goes into dairy farming — including milking cows TWICE a day, every single day! 🐮 As well as the processing of all their own milk and ice cream 🍦

Even more special, Representative Zimmerman shared that he personally worked on this very farm milking cows for nearly 10 years! What an incredible full-circle moment. 👏

Our local school food service directors and school nutrition professionals had the opportunity to ask Representative Zimmerman questions, learn more about the legislation supporting whole milk in schools, and hear about important farm-to-school initiatives like the Keystone Fresh Act that continue to strengthen connections between local agriculture and school nutrition programs. 🌾🏫🥛

It was the perfect way to wrap up another amazing school year filled with learning, collaboration, and adventure.🐄 Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight and helped make it such a meaningful experience!

An amazing meeting today to talk about a new possibility forour cafeterias🌱

We’re exploring an idea of adding a **Fork Farm hydroponic grow system**—bringing fresh, student-grown greens right into our school cafeterias. Using hydroponics, students can grow food year-round while learning real-world science through STEM education.

Fresh food. Hands-on learning. A greener future. 🌿
