Marvin M. Hochstetler, 43, formerly of Bertha, MN, and now of Durand, WI, was sentenced to 30 days in county jail and ordered to pay $15,000 in restitution for the s*xual abuse of an Amish child in Todd County Court on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

Hochstetler was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the 3rd Degree, a felony, for the s*xual abuse of a 14-year-old victim, which continued for over two years between 2005 and 2007.

The victim in this case and her supporters asked Judge Daniel A. Benson for the maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, as well as Hochstetler’s registration as a s*x offender and counseling outside of the Amish community.

Amish advocate & author Lizzie Hershberger read the Victim Impact Statement in court on behalf of the victim.

The Amish have experienced a surge in s*xual assault reporting and prosecution as more victims have come forward to break generations of silence about the prevalence of abuse in their communities. We honor their courage and support their journey towards freedom.

“THE DOCTOR THE AMISH TRUST”

Dr. David B. Clark, a licensed chiropractor at Health Plus in Oak Grove, MO faces multiple criminal charges in connection with s*xual assaults of children and adult women, mostly from the Amish community.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced charges today of Statutory So**my 1st Degree, three counts of Statutory So**my 2nd Degree, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, and one count of So**my 2nd Degree.

According to court records, Dr. Clark abused his victims under the guise of medical treatment for close to four decades. Many were from the Amish community, lacked s*x education, and had little interaction with health providers.
Their willingness to come forward and stop Dr. Clark from abusing others shows courage and dedication to the future generations of our communities.

This case was investigated by the FBI in Kansas City.
We encourage any other suspected victims of abuse to contact law enforcement.

FAMILY IN NEED for CHRISTMAS!

Hey facebook friends,

We have a family of 5 who has no Christmas gifts for the kids. Mother just left her spouse in November because of a DV situation. There is a PFA in place. Mother has had to spend money on replacement car keys, tires and other damages that were done to the car as a result of her trying to leave.

Money that was saved for rent was taken by the spouse. We are working on resources to assist over the next couple months but my goal for now is to make sure this family has a Christmas and I am going to ask for donations to pay November and December rent.

Here are the childrens age and clothes and shoe size for anything you can donate.

On Dec 14th, Jay Elwood King of Breckinridge, KY and the Breckinridge Mennonite Church, was sentenced to a total of 5 years for two counts of s*xually abusing a child under the age of 12.

The sentence, 5 years for each count to be served concurrently (at the same time), was recommended by Breckinridge County Commonwealth Attorney Rick Hardin and handed down by Judge Kenneth Harold Goff. King pleaded guilty to two counts of s*xual abuse in May.

In Kentucky, s*xual abuse of a child under the age of 12 is a Class C felony, punishable by five to ten years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for each count. The maximum King could have been sentenced was 20 years.

The victim, who was adopted by Jay & Eva King at 4 1/2 years old, shared her story on our page in July 2021.

The majority of accused priests in the U.S. (55.7%) had one formal allegation of abuse made against them, 26.4% had two or three allegations, 17.8% had four to nine allegations, and 3.5% had ten or more allegations.

A major aggravating factor is the actions of the bishops to keep these crimes a secret and to reassign the accused to other parishes in positions where they had continued unsupervised contact with youth.

The ‘Cannon Law’ which is an inside law, largely utilized by Catholic priests & other bishops & priests of various religious groups, is designed to protect predators while putting thousands of little boys and girls at a high risk of continued s*xual assault.

This inside law protects the priests and overlooks the child.
It’s essential that this law is changed passes PA legislation.

Our children need to be put first while we hold these priests accountable by demanding an abolishment of the Canon law.

A few weeks ago I had posted a brief story of getting pregnant at Fourteen after being Sexually Assaulted and how the Community had banned together after my son was born to try and convince me to give my son up for Foster Care or Adoption.

I first left home at Sixteen Years Old because I was tired of fighting an entire Community to keep my son.
No one stopped to ask me what had happened or get me any kind of mental help I should have had at that time in my life. The focus was that I had gotten pregnant and how it was perceived instead of the man who got me pregnant at Fourteen.

Below is my son and I at the young age of Sixteen and Two and our most recent picture from two days ago at the age of Twenty One and Thirty Six 💙

My son is so handsome and has an incredible work ethic. I told him just don’t make me a Grandma in my Thirties and we’ll be okay 😜

By The Way:
It took me my entire life to even be able to say those two words when telling my story. I would always just say that I got pregnant at Fourteen and preferred the term Molested instead.

I think a big change in R**e Culture is being able to say how it is no matter how cringy it’s sounds. R**e is cringy but the person behind the act is even cringier so let’s make it a habit to say it how it is instead of making R**e sound ‘nicer’
