Nineline Veteran Services Veterans Resource Fair at the Tacoma Dome today was, in a word, incredible! Resources galore. Chances are, if you were looking for it, you could find it here.

Our music jam circle was a whole lot of fun, and we had many visitors stop by our booth to learn more about MusicWorks 4 Veterans. It's always such a joy when passersby jump in to jam, sing, and share a little music with us.

You could truly feel the power of community today.

A heartfelt thank you to Nineline Veteran Services for all of the hard work that goes into making this annual event happen and for creating opportunities like this for organizations to connect with our military and veteran community.

Many thanks as well to our MW4V team of volunteers and participants—Gary, Perry, Kendra, Maame, Triston, and John—for helping bring our booth and jam circle together and for keeping the music going throughout the day.

It was a busy event, but we did manage to capture a few photos near the end as things began to slow down.

We got our booth & jam space all ready for YOU! We hope you can make your way down to the Tacoma Dome tomorrow and take advantage of it! :)

Anytime between 9am-3pm, we'll be there the whole time at the Veterans Resource Fair. It's a great annual community gathering for Active duty, Veterans and Families to connect with a great variety of resources.

Stop in at our booth & jam and play a few tunes with us. We'll have a couple extra guitars, bass, keyboard, a ukulele and great assortment of hand percussion instruments.

We hope you'll stop in for a visit.

MusicWorks4Veterans WANTS YOU to come and see us at the Nineline Veteran Servicess Resource Fair at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday, May 30th!

Among all of the amazing organizations and services list below, MW4V will be there sharing how we serve Veterans and Families, through music, in our communities. We will also be livening up the Resource Fair atmosphere with music and providing guests with opportunities to join our open music jam. We'll have extra musical instruments available for you to use. It's going to be a great day of making connections with Veterans in our community.

MusicWorks 4 Veterans also welcomes you to join us to volunteer and help us with our setup, resource table, welcoming guests, and breakdown/load-out. Please send us a message and we will provide you with the details.

The Veterans Resource Fair was conceived by veterans who realized that the veteran community desperately needed a safe space to connect with other veterans, receive information, and connect to services available specifically to the veteran community.

The Veteran Resource Fair is a community partnership between various veteran-owned agencies, nonprofits, and federal, state, and local county agencies whose aim is to provide an annual and reliable space where Pierce, King, Kitsap, and Thurston Counties Veterans and their families can obtain direct connections and information to many different types of veteran-specific programs and resources, to include:

Medical Screenings and Dental Resources

On Memorial Day, we honor and remember all military personnel who gave their lives in service to our country.

We pause in gratitude for their sacrifice, their courage, and the families who carry their memory forward.

Last Wednesday night’s SoundVetJam at Lakewold Gardens may have been a smaller gathering, but it certainly did not lack luster. It’s always great to get together with friends, crank out a few tunes, share some laughs, and catch up on each other’s lives through music and good company.

And what a beautiful place to do it. The weather was absolutely ideal, allowing us to set up lakeside on the patio beneath the gorgeous old-growth wisteria — always such a treat and one of our favorite spots to gather.

If you haven’t yet experienced one of our Lakewold Gardens jams, be sure not to miss your chance next month on the 3rd Wednesday of June. We’d truly love to have you join us.

Our next open jam will be June 3rd at SMU T.U.B. in Lacey. Feel free to contact us with any questions about our events — we’d love to hear from you.
