MusicWorks 4 Veterans - Making music accessible to Veterans while encouraging participation and creativity as a way towards healing and the betterment of lives. M

W4V’s Music Projects, such as Music Nights held at Washington Soldiers Home in Orting WA, provide opportunity for veterans young and old to actively participate by sharing songs, musical performances, writings & stories. Creative collaborations are encouraged and it is not uncommon for there to be original song compositions to come from our programs. MusicWorks 4 Veterans, a 501c3, needs your support in the worthwhile efforts to expand access to music and creativity for veterans and families abroad. Please consider supporting MW4V by volunteering or through monetary contribution.

Here we are at Fort Steilacoom Park, taking advantage of the opportunity to get an early start on setting up our Veterans Resource Village and MW4V SoundVetJam area for Lakewood SummerFEST!

It was great to get a jump on things the day before the big event. MusicWorks 4 Veterans has such an amazing team, and I’m very grateful for every one of them. We were all in sync, and setup went surprisingly quick and easy.

A big thank you to our MW4V team for showing up, pitching in, and helping everything come together so smoothly. You’re the best!

Early Saturday morning, we’ll add the finishing touches to our MW4V booth and jam circle area, set out the instruments and sound equipment, welcome the rest of our 20 Veterans Resource Village vendors as they arrive, and get ready for showtime at 11:00 AM.

We hope you’ll stop by for a visit, check out all of the great resources, and spend some time with us.

🎶 We’ll be jamming from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM. Bring your own instrument or use one of ours!

🎶 This Saturday, 8-15-26, is the big day!

Come on out to Lakewood SummerFEST and make sure to visit us at the Veterans Resource Village!

MusicWorks 4 Veterans will be hosting our SoundVetJam open music jam throughout the day, and everyone is welcome to join in. Bring your own instrument or use one of ours. Jump in and play a few songs, sing along, or just hang out, listen, and enjoy the music.

We’ll also have a shaded cool-down area and free water available, so the VRV will be a great place to stop, take a break, meet some good people, and learn more about the many resources available to our Veteran and military community.

We’re really looking forward to spending the day with all of you and with the wonderful organizations joining us at the Veterans Resource Village. Each one brings something unique and valuable to the Veterans Resource Village, and we’re grateful to have them there with us.

Come on out to Lakewood SummerFEST and make sure to visit us at the Veterans Resource Village!

Here are a few pictures from last night’s MW4V SoundVetJam at the Saint Martin’s University T.U.B. 🎶

It’s always a great time jamming here, and we’re incredibly grateful to the university for providing us with such a wonderful space to gather and make music together.

A special thank-you to Jorge, Veterans Center Program Manager at SMU, for always staying late to accommodate our SoundVetJam events. Your continued support truly means a lot to us.

Whether our group turns out to be eight people, like last night, or 18, as it has on other occasions, we enjoy the camaraderie and music-making just the same. Last night, we played a wide variety of tunes that kept things interesting, lively, and fun.

You’ve gotta love a little midweek L.I.F.T. — Live. Inspire. Friendship. Tenacity.

And, as always, our brother Gary Ouellette came through by remembering to take a few pictures. Thanks, Gary!
