In today's meeting, one member rehearsed a speech she'll give at an event next week, and another member gave a speech he put together last night. Whether you're putting the final touches on a presentation or practicing something for the first time, Toastmasters is a welcome place to do it.

Today's meeting certainly left us with a little inspiration: The Toastmaster encouraged us to find ways to demonstrate "small courage" in our lives, and one of the speeches focused on how to embrace a positive mindset. Today's meeting featured a speech that was titled, "Unprepared," and the speaker was, in fact, unprepared! (That was purposeful.) What better way to test your off-the-cuff speaking skills than with your local Toastmasters group. Bravo!

At this week's meeting, a member gave an extended, keynote-style speech, which is a requirement in the Presentation Mastery pathway. When you join Toastmasters, you can choose from one of 11 specialized pathways that help you gradually build the skills you're looking for. Reach out if you want to learn more!

Today's theme was graduation (in the traditional sense and figuratively too!). Table Topics questions prompted an array of responses -- philosophical, vulnerable, silly, and more. What a great way to practice impromptu speaking!
