This sweet little girl may be a bit shy when she first meets new people, but it doesn't take long to see that she wants to be part of the fun. From a safe distance, she'll watch what you're doing, curious and eager to join in once she feels comfortable in her surroundings.

As her confidence grows, so does her playful personality. She loves exploring, playing, and being involved in the action around her. While she's not the type to enjoy being held for long periods, she'll tolerate some cuddles and prefers to show her affection in her own way—by staying close and participating in family life.

She would thrive in a patient home that gives her a little time to settle in and let her true personality shine. Because she enjoys the companionship of other cats, she would do especially well if adopted with one of her littermates, Tuuk or Roa, who can help her feel secure and make the transition to a new home even easier.

If you're looking for a playful, observant, and charming kitten who will blossom with a little love and patience, this girl could be the perfect addition to your family.

Meet Ru, a playful little chatterbox with a big personality and plenty to say about everything. Whether he's chasing a wand toy, exploring something new, or simply following you around the house, Ru is rarely quiet for long. His constant stream of adorable kitten commentary is one of the many reasons he's impossible not to love.

Outgoing, curious, and full of energy, Ru approaches life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. He loves to play and is always looking for his next activity, making him a wonderful companion for an active household. While playtime is definitely his favorite pastime, he also enjoys snuggling when he's tired and ready to recharge after a busy day of kitten business.

Ru has been raised around other cats and adores both of his sisters. He gains confidence and companionship from his feline friends and would do best in a home with another playful kitten or young cat. Because he thrives with a feline companion, he is not a good fit as an only cat.

He doesn't mind being picked up, loves attention from his people, and would flourish in a home that can give him plenty of interaction, playtime, and affection. If you're looking for a fun-loving kitten who will keep you entertained with his playful antics and endless conversation, Ru is ready to be your new best friend.

Meet Oreo & Pretzel, the pink-nosed duo your home didn’t know it was missing! 🖤🤍 These bonded brothers are equal parts chaos gremlin and cuddle bug, turning every cat tunnel into a racetrack and every cat tree into their personal jungle gym. Whether they’re zooming through the house together or chirping little “where are you?” sounds to find each other, these two are always up to something adorable.

Oreo is the more talkative brother and absolutely melts for pets in just the right spot, rewarding you with loud purrs and happy biscuits. Pretzel proudly parades his toys around the house like tiny trophies and is always ready for the next play session. Both boys are playful, affectionate, and impossible not to fall for, especially with their matching pink noses and Pretzel’s precious pink toe beans. 🐾

Oreo and Pretzel are deeply bonded and are required to be adopted together. They’ve never been apart and truly thrive as a pair, bringing double the fun, double the sweetness, and double the love to their future family.

Meet Taco, an adventurous little explorer who believes every room, toy, and cardboard box deserves a thorough investigation. This playful boy is always on the move, chasing feather toys, batting springs across the floor, and turning anything into his next great adventure.

Taco has been raised around other cats, dogs, and children, making him a well-rounded kitten who can fit into many different types of homes. While he may be a little cautious when meeting dogs at first, he does well with respectful canine friends. He enjoys attention and snuggles, though he's usually more interested in playing than spending the entire day curled up in a lap.

One thing Taco loves most is having feline friends to wrestle and play with. He gets along wonderfully with other kittens and would do best in a home with a similar-aged companion who can keep up with his playful energy and love of kitten antics.

Taco doesn't mind being picked up and is ready to bring fun, curiosity, and plenty of entertainment to his future family. If you're looking for a confident, playful kitten who will keep life exciting, Taco may be the perfect addition to your home.

Taco is currently be fostered at Firehouse Pet Shop - Puyallup / Station No. 2 and can be visited during normal business hours!

Meet Queso, a fearless little whirlwind with a zest for life and a talent for turning every day into an adventure. This playful kitten is always on the move, chasing feather toys, batting springs across the room, and finding creative ways to entertain both himself and everyone around him.

Queso has been raised around other cats, dogs, and children, making him a confident and adaptable companion. While he may be a little cautious when meeting dogs, he's not afraid of them and can do well with a respectful canine friend. He doesn't mind being picked up for a quick cuddle, but don't expect him to stay still for long. There are simply too many important kitten activities waiting for him!

His best buddy is Bean, and the two love spending time together. Queso would be thrilled to find a home with Bean or another playful feline friend who can keep up with his energetic antics. Because he thrives on companionship and play, he is not a good fit for a home without another cat.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, adventurous kitten who will bring endless entertainment and excitement to your home, Queso is ready to meet you!

How to Adopt Oakbrook Cat Rescue Kittens from Ziggy’s Cat Lounge

Thank you for considering adoption through Oakbrook Cat Rescue! We know choosing a new family member is exciting, and we want the process to be as smooth and transparent as possible.

Applying to Adopt

To adopt from Oakbrook Cat Rescue, you must first have an approved adoption application. Before submitting your application, you are required to meet the cats or kittens in person at Ziggy’s Cat Lounge. This step is important so you can spend time with the kittens, observe their personalities, and ensure you’re applying for the right fit for your home. If you already have an application on file from a previous visit let the staff at Ziggys know when you arrive.

Applications can be submitted at any time after you’ve met the kittens. While you are welcome to note specific kittens on your application, approval does not guarantee adoption of a particular kitty. Think of approval as a pre-approval to adopt through our rescue.

Once approved, you do not need to reapply for future adoptions unless your personal information or circumstances have changed.

After spending time with the kittens at Ziggy’s, it is your responsibility to let the lounge staff know which kittens you are interested in adopting. We strongly encourage applicants to keep an open mind and consider multiple kittens or pairs in case their first choice is no longer available.

We typically make adoption selections by Friday or Saturday during the week the kittens are staying at Ziggy’s. If you are chosen to adopt, you will hear from us via text or email. If you are not selected, please don’t worry—there will be new kittens at Ziggy’s each month, and we encourage you to try again.

We often receive many applications for the same kittens, especially certain highly sought-after ones. Our foster families are involved in helping select adoptive homes, as they know the kittens best and want to ensure the best possible fit for both the kitten and adopter. While you may not always be selected for your first choice, we promise the entire litter is equally wonderful, regardless of coat color or markings.

Considering the Commitment

Cats are a long-term commitment and often live 15 to 20 years or more. Before adopting, we ask applicants to carefully consider their future lifestyle and ability to provide lifelong care. Some things to think about include:

- Your age and long-term ability to care for a pet
- Your current and future health status
- Future moves or housing changes
- Financial stability
- Relationships, marriage, or future children
- Military deployment or major life changes
- Veterinary care and emergency expenses

Our goal is always a safe, stable, forever home.

Kitten Pair Policy

At OCR, we strongly prioritize bonded pairs and kitten companionship. If we receive one application for a pair and another for a single kitten, priority will typically go to the pair adoption.

We do not adopt single kittens into homes without another friendly cat already present. If you do not currently have another cat at home, you will need to adopt two kittens together, even if your application was initially submitted for a single kitten.

Veterinary Care Included

Every cat and kitten adopted through OCR is:

- Spayed or neutered
- Microchipped
- Combo tested for FIV and FeLV
- Vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines
- Flea treated
- Dewormed

Adoption Checkout Process

OCR uses Shelterluv software, and all adoptions are completed digitally. When it is time to finalize your adoption, you will receive a text message with a checkout link.

During checkout, you will have the option to enroll in pet insurance. Whether you choose insurance through checkout or independently, we highly recommend having coverage for your new pet. Many rescue cats and kittens come from difficult backgrounds, and unexpected veterinary expenses can happen with any pet.

Additionally, many kittens are adopted before they are old enough to receive their rabies vaccine. After adoption, you should schedule an appointment with your veterinarian to discuss future vaccines, wellness care, and any additional recommendations.

Once adoption is finalized, you must contact Ziggy’s Cat Lounge to arrange pickup of your adopted cat(s). Pickups are typically scheduled on Sunday evenings.

Our Commitment to Our Cats

At Oakbrook Cat Rescue, we believe “once an OCR cat, always an OCR cat.”

We offer a 10-day money-back period following adoption. More importantly, if at any point during the cat’s life you are unable to keep them, contact Oakbrook Cat Rescue before rehoming.

We deeply appreciate you choosing rescue and trusting OCR to help you find your new family member. ❤️
