Nepali Calendar is also known the Bikram Sambat Nepali calendar. The current Nepali Year in Nepali is Nepali calendar 2081 Bikram Sambat. Nepali Calendar is approximately 56 years and 8 and months ahead of the English Calendar known as Gregorian Calendar or AD. Nepali Calendar in Nepal is called as Nepali Patro.

"The official calendar follows the Hindu tradition and is deeply rooted in Nepalese culture and history.

The Bikram Sambat calendar is a lunisolar calendar, meaning it combines both lunar and solar components. It is made up of 12 months, each consisting of either 29 or 30 days, totaling 354 or 355 days in a year."

The Pokhara farm is where you'll go during your stay in Nepal. You'll join in the daily task work and on-going projects of a local Nepali farm. They practice organic and kind-to-the-earth methods while supporting stability in the local farming area. Helping this farm start to thrive has tangible impacts on the surrounding village. This farm work will be about half of your time spent in the Pokhara area, helping with projects suited to your ability. The other half of the day is spent observing religious, world, and culture sites where you'll learn about Nepali life and history. At the end of each day, there are activities designed to help foster introspection and creativity. Our single biggest objective right now? Lowering the margin to travel by creating equipment caches. We need items suitable for sending teams to Nepal, safely, successfully, and comfortably. Find out ways you can get involved!
