Thank Dog it’s the weekend! Meet Kit (aka KitKat). At just 6-7 months old and 34 #, this Corgi (and possible Shepherd) mix is a sweet, gregarious puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. KitKat is trusting, super affectionate, and never says no to a good belly rub!

The Highlights:
Social Butterfly: Great with dogs of all sizes.
Curious About Cats: Needs more training, currently thinks they are something to chase.
Playtime Enthusiast: Loves to run, play, chase, and surround himself with as many toys as possible. Very springy puppy!
Routine Ready: Already crate/kennel trained! Warning - He likes to “sing” (howl) himself to sleep but eventually settles down.
What He’s Working On: Like any young pup, KitKat is still learning his big boy manners. He’s currently working on potty training, curbing his puppy jumping and keeping his paws on the ground when he is excited, and learning what is (and isn't) a chew toy.

Ideal Match:
KitKat needs a patient, positive-reinforcement-focused person / family who can keep up with his fun energy and give him the attention and guidance he needs to grow into his best self. A fenced in yard is required and respectful kids 10+ may be considered. If you're looking for a loving, adventurous sidekick, you can complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Kit is neutered, utd on vaccs, HW-, and chipped. His adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

Thank Dog it's the weekend! Mando is an approximately 1 year-old, 24-lb basset/heeler mix. He was found as a stray in New Mexico where no one came looking for him. He's sweet with humans and dogs, but he is also mouthy and still learning his manners. Because of his mouthiness, we recommend a home with no kids under age 12. We also think he would do best as an only dog or with an older doggy sibling who can set a good example for him. He has not been tested with cats, but we don't think he'd be a good fit with them. Mando has been showing great progress with his house training but he still has accidents when his humans don't notice his subtle cues that he needs to go or when he gets too excited to hold it. He has not been intentionally marking in his foster home. He is still figuring out leash-walking and sometimes stops walking altogether until he can be coaxed to continue. Since he doesn't yet potty on leashed walks, he requires a secure, fenced yard in his new home. Mando should also have someone home most of the time as he is still learning to distinguish shoes and furniture from his chew toys. When his people are home, he only chews on his dog toys and is responsive to appropriate redirection. He sleeps through the night either on his doggy bed or on the couch. If you are interested in meeting Mando the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Mando is neutered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
