We are so grateful for partnership that goes beyond words.

This video captures just a small glimpse of what happens when people show up with servant hearts. Thank you to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance for not only investing financially in this work, but for sending volunteers who are literally helping put communities back together. We are also grateful for our friends at Oakhurst United Methodist Church for housing volunteers, and our construction coordinator for the week, Bob Swan.

Right now in Pinellas County, these teams are helping repair The Gathering Church, a hub for the community, following damage from the 2024 hurricane season, while also walking alongside survivors who are still navigating the long road of recovery. This is what long-term recovery looks like. Not just immediate response, but staying when the cameras are gone and the real work begins.

Partnerships like this remind us we are better together. When organizations, churches, and volunteers link arms, hope becomes tangible.

Thank you for serving. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being part of restoring homes, churches, and lives.

This month, hurricane survivors impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton received critical support thanks to the generosity of faith-based partners, community organizations, and private donors who stepped in when needs went beyond what grant funding alone could cover.

We are deeply grateful to Trinity United Methodist Church, whose compassion showed up in a big way through food donations valued at approximately $2,200, along with $147.99 in dog food assistance, making sure families and their pets had access to essential nutrition during recovery. Grace Family Church provided $375 in gift cards, giving survivors the flexibility to purchase groceries and household necessities as needs arose.

Survivors were also supported through vital utility assistance. LIHEAP provided $689.70, and a private donor contributed $711 toward utility bills, helping households remain safely housed and avoid service disruptions during an already stressful time.

Transportation needs were met thanks to Bikes 4 Christ, which donated a bicycle valued at $139, increasing access to employment, appointments, and essential services.

Additional generosity poured in through coordinated donations of clothing, sneakers, blankets, food, and gift cards totaling over $565, meeting immediate needs for warmth, nourishment, and dignity. We are especially thankful for D-Group Bible Study, which contributed clothing, food, gift cards, and household items to support families in recovery.

During the holiday season, donors also helped bring joy and normalcy to children by providing Christmas toy assistance for two families valued at $350, a meaningful reminder that they were not forgotten.

To every donor and partner: thank you for showing up, giving generously, and standing with hurricane survivors during one of the hardest seasons of their lives. Your kindness made a real, tangible difference.

We want to extend our deepest thanks to Bikes for Christ for blessing one of our clients with a donated bicycle. 🚲✨

After losing his home in Hurricanes Helene and Milton and spending nearly 10 months displaced, he has been walking a difficult road. With the help of caring volunteers, we were able to clear what was left of his home and take important steps toward getting him back on stable ground.

This bicycle may seem simple, but for him, it is a gift of hope. A way to get to work, rebuild independence, and move forward with renewed hope.

Bikes For Christ, thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Your compassion reminds our clients that they are seen, valued, and not walking this journey alone.
We are grateful for your ministry and the light you bring to our community. 💛

Today, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. As we look back on this year, we are reminded again and again of God’s faithfulness, and how He opens doors, brings the right people together, and provides exactly what is needed in every season.

We are thankful for the families we have the privilege to walk alongside, for the volunteers who show up with servant hearts, for our partners who help make recovery possible, and for every person who has prayed for, shared, or supported this mission in any way. You are part of the story God is writing through SALT.

We are also deeply grateful for our own families, the husbands, wives, children, parents, and loved ones who support us, encourage us, and give us the strength to keep serving. Their love is the foundation that allows us to pour into the work God has called us to.

As we gather around our tables today, we pray that your homes are filled with peace, your hearts with joy, and your day with reminders of how deeply you are loved by a faithful God.

From all of us at Serving and Loving Together,
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍂
