Important Message Regarding Our Community Garage Sale
Dear Neighbors,
I want to address a recent situation with great disappointment. Someone broke the clear rules of our garage sale by posting publicly and inviting outsiders to our community event. This is not acceptable.
None of my events have ever been “gate open” to the public. This is a private, residents-only event. It is incredibly disrespectful to suggest that I do not promote my events enough. I consistently share updates across all community social media channels, send email reminders with flyers, and place a large, highly visible sign right in front of the gate.
If you need to sell items urgently, I recommend using Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or similar platforms. My community garage sale is a special, organized event for residents — not an open flea market.
The HOA Board (including myself) is very upset about this. This was the first garage sale our community has ever held. The Board was initially hesitant to approve it, but after I built trust and respect through careful planning, they gave us the opportunity. Incidents like this put future events at risk.
For more events like this to continue, I need everyone to respect the private work I do for our community — always prioritizing everyone’s safety and the effort I put into these activities.
ONLY RESIDENT GARAGE SALE
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Let’s keep our community events safe, fun, and respectful.
