FSEA State Conference Underway in Osceola County!
Last night marked the opening ceremony of the Florida State Explorers Association (FSEA) State Conference, where Explorers from across the state have gathered for a week of competition, leadership, and skill-building. This year's conference includes 34 Explorer posts representing their agencies and a total of 448 attendees.
We are especially proud that Sheriff Paul Blackman was selected as this year's guest speaker, delivering an inspiring and motivational message to our future leaders.
Sheriff Blackman was joined by one of our own, Explorer Jaxson Turner, who currently serves as President of the Florida State Explorers Association and represents Explorers on the FSEA Board of Directors.
We're also proud to recognize Deputy Shannon Roberts, Senior Advisor for Highlands County Explorer Post 2247, who was recently elected Vice President on the advisor side of the FSEA Board.
Throughout the week, Explorers will compete in a demanding schedule running from 7:00 a.m. until midnight each day, testing their knowledge, skills, teamwork, and leadership. We know Post 2247 will represent Highlands County with pride and professionalism.
A special thank you to Sheriff Paul Blackman, Major Darin Hood, and Lieutenant Kimberly Gunn for your unwavering support of this outstanding program. We'd also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Lieutenant Wayne Gunn for dedicating extra time with us on the range, helping prepare our Explorers for the fi****ms competition.
We're ready—and we can't wait to see what this week brings. Good luck, Post 2247!
