Special thanks to Pastor Angelo for the continued support for the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office Explorer program. We were invited and honored to enjoy a delicious fish fry, fellowship with the church community, and enjoy some really good dessert. Pastor Angelo presented our program with a check for $1500 to help support our youth. ♥️

Tonight the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office recognized Deputy Shannon Roberts for her exemplary commitment and dedication to our youth through the Explorers Program. Over the last seven years, Deputy Roberts has served as a Senior Advisor and has mentored hundreds of youth through the program to learn about the law enforcement culture and volunteering through numerous community events throughout the year.

Through her leadership, she has grown the program to what it is today; and hopefully not only grow future leaders, but future law enforcement officers as well. We are thankful for her unwavering commitment and for that, she was chosen by the Awards Committee as Deputy of the Quarter!

Congratulations Deputy Roberts and thank you for all that you do for our youth and community!

🎄Gaylord Palms ICE-Rudolph Edition🎄

The Explorers Post #2247 got to experience some holiday cheer in 9* temps while sliding down some ice and seeing the cool ice sculptures. Had dinner at Kobe to finish off our holiday festivities 🎅🏼 These kids give this post so much of their time and hard work so today we celebrated them with a little give back! ♥️ Merry Christmas to all, from Explorer Post #2247!

⭐️ December Delegates⭐️

Our weekend consisted of Shooting, Burglary, Tactical first aid, Disturbance, Communications, and Static Displays. Out of 270 attendees our Explorers dominated the shooting competition. We finally out shined Sarasota County who normally dominates the shooting competitions! Our biggest accomplishment as a team was finally winning 🥇 High Team Score!
