How important is belonging? Belonging is what makes a school a community rather than a building. Students who feel they belong have better attendance rates, engage more deeply, and show lower rates of anxiety and behavioral disruption.

Research from Friendzy’s Co-founder, Joy Roberts, Ed.D spanned three years and 19 schools finding students using Friendzy’s program reported feeling safer, more supported, and more connected to one another, with the steepest gains in the dimension research calls hardest to move.

There’s always something so special when educators who care deeply about helping every student feel like they belong gather together. ❤️

Last week at Anchored in Faith with ADAC, Inc Julie Widman, Ed.D listened to stories, shared ideas, and explored practical ways to build stronger, more connected school communities.

The best part? The conversations don't end when the sessions do. They travel back into classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and everyday moments where students are learning what it means to be seen, valued, and loved.
