Ol' lady Gizzy has been giving us some trouble lately when it comes to eating. Her appetite has been really hit or miss and she's been losing weight. We've tried several different foods and she finally decided that she LOVES Pedigree wet food. With the way she eats this food, she should plump back up in no time. Gizzy has added a couple of cases to the Wishlist. Just a couple in case she changes her mind again, but so far she is really obsessed with this food!

She also overheard us saying that we are running really low on dog treats. All of the pups here get a bedtime treat and they absolutely look forward to the routine every evening. Gizzy added more treats to the Wishlist, as well. Her favorite is the Little Jacs because they're so soft and flavorful. Here's the list if you would like to send the pups some love:

Miss Nani is looking FABULOUS after her spa treatment at Bow Wow's Pet Clips today!

Let me tell ya, Nani is the most ridiculous shedder that has ever stepped paw into the Sanctuary. We can brush and pluck clumps all day long, and she will STILL look like a ragamuffin. But a professional blowout at the hair salon will get it under control for at least a couple months. Whew! Our brushes and hands will get a break!

Nani is feeling like a million bucks right now. Tomorrow, Harley and Peach will also get the royal treatment. Stay tuned for their glow up pics!

P.S. Can you believe that Nani will be 15 next month?! She is looking amazing for her age!

The Fall Fun Fair is fast approaching and we are very excited to be there with some games for the kiddos to play! 🎃

Have an hour or two to spare on October 24th? We would love to have some help at the game booth! Busy that day? We can also use candy donations for prizes!

Please let us know if you can help out. It's going to be a spooktacular time!

We woke up to a swimming pool in the yard today! Although the big dogs - especially the sheppies - thought it was the bestest thing ever, the Littles were not a fan at all.

So this morning was full of extra p**p bags and p*e pads for the Littles, and picking up p**p soup in the yard and lots of towels in the house for the big dogs. 😒 Blech.

But the 25 degree drop in temperature was well worth it, and the pool is now gone.

As the effects of the hurricane start to move in, we're getting all of the pups as situated as possible. Everyone has had extra outside time today, and the dogs most affected by storms will get calming chews with dinner.

I know that the possible impact here will be nothing compared to areas closer to the coast, but we still have the potential for significant rain and wind. Havasu and everyone else in the path: please take a moment to check that your gates are securely locked. We don't want anyone losing their babies!

Stay safe, and enjoy the cooler weather!

Here's a little flashback for this Friday!! It's Harley Noodleson!

When Harley joined us about a year and a half ago he was naked, emaciated, had an awful skin infection, and horrid teeth. Although we were optimistic that he would become healthy with proper care and love, never in a million years did we think he would be fully coated! We initially thought he was a hairless Chinese Crested.

From nekkid to totally floofy, Harley sure fooled us! His transformation was absolutely amazing and serves as a wonderful reminder that even the ugliest of ducklings can turn into beautiful swans. Not that we ever thought Harley was ugly... he's always been super handsome to us.

Harley - along with Nani and Peach - are headed to the groomer next week to get pampered and freshened up. We can't wait to see their glow up!

Today's $5 Friday is for the grooming expenses and the supplements that are used to keep the furkids in tip top health. Can you spare $5 to help pamper the furbabies?
