Here is what Tessa's peers said:
I am voting for Tessa because she is an exceptional physical education teacher who plays a vital role in our school community far beyond the gymnasium. While she promotes health, teamwork, and confidence through her PE classes, her impact reaches well outside that space.
Tessa consistently supports our students in every setting, always stepping in where help is needed and ensuring they feel encouraged and cared for. She selflessly covers duties, willingly takes on additional responsibilities, and never hesitates to help out when our staff needs support. Her positive attitude, reliability, and genuine commitment to our students make a noticeable difference every day.
Tessa’s dedication and excellence truly embody the spirit of this award, and she is more than deserving of this recognition.
Tessa is always putting others before herself. She makes PE engaging and really cares about student's well-being inside and outside of the classroom. Tessa is a kind coworker and she supports classroom teachers.
Tessa consistently maintains a positive attitude at school toward both students and staff. She willingly goes out of her way to cover classes when another specialist is absent, ensuring that students continue to receive all of their scheduled specials for the day. In addition, she is especially attentive to students who need extra support, offering help to those who are struggling or need assistance transitioning into the classroom. Her dedication and supportive nature make a meaningful difference in our school.
Tessa is always going above and beyond for the students and staff. She is always one of the first people to jump in and help around campus. She is amazing with the students. She has a high expectation for students and holds them to it. She is very well respected among staff and students. Students love her and I have never seen kids so excited to go to PE!
