Tanker 17 was dispatched to a small brush fire off of Alpine Court in Lake Harmony Estates. The fire was in the “Little Boulder Field “ area behind the residence. Crews used a can and the booster line to extinguish the fire. Several fireworks boxes were found in the area. Fireworks are illegal in Kidder Township.

Tonight’s training was a mass decontamination drill at the Pocono Racetrack. Thanks to Tunkhannock Twp. Vol. Fire Co. Station 42 for organizing this valuable training event.

Lake Harmony and District 16, along with Lake Harmony Ambulance and PSP are on scene of a two vehicle crash on the interstate at the 275.3 mm.

Tonight’s training focused on hose line deployment and ground ladders. Crews simulated a dwelling fire with entrapment and stretched the appropriate hand line and placed ladders for rescue of victims on the second floor.

Fire districts 17, 16 and Lake Harmony Ambulance were dispatched to a brush fire on Lehigh Drive in Pocono Mountain Lakes. Crews extinguished a 50’ x 50’ pile of stumps and brush as well as a single tree that was cut down to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for just over an hour.

The new 1776 made its first call today for a lift assist at the Lake Harmony marina. We were then diverted to Saint Peter the Fishermen church to establish a landing zone for an incoming air medical helicopter.

Rescue and special service 17 are currently operating on a single vehicle crash on Lake Harmony Road near Big Boulder Road. Please use caution in the area.

Rescue 17 along with 1641 established a landing zone for Med-E-Vac 4 this afternoon for a motorcycle crash in the same area as a vehicle crash earlier today. Crews were on scene for around an hour.
