🚗🔥 The Adirondack Nationals are almost here!

One of Lake George’s biggest weekends of the year returns September 10–13 as the 37th Annual Adirondack Nationals takes over the grounds of Fort William Henry and brings an incredible lineup of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods and custom rides to the Village! The show now averages around 1,500 cars, making it a can’t-miss tradition for automotive enthusiasts.

🔨 Step into 1776 and help build history at Fort Ticonderoga!

On September 19 & 20, Fort Ticonderoga’s REAL TIME REVOLUTION® Signature Event, “Lodging as the Nature of the Campaign will Admit,” invites visitors to do more than watch history unfold — you can actually take part in it.

Two hundred fifty years ago, soldiers of the Northern Continental Army were racing against approaching winter and an uncertain British threat. This September, visitors can grab a mallet or saw and work alongside Continental Army soldiers to recreate the wooden huts that sheltered troops on Liberty Hill.

🪚 Hands-on hut building and timber framing
📖 A 12:30 PM presentation with author Steven Elliott of Rutgers University

🏰 Immersive living history bringing the uncertainty and challenges of 1776 to life

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday morning for WIB Walk & Talk: Exploring the Feeder Canal. It was wonderful to reconnect after the summer, welcome new faces, and enjoy some fresh air and conversation along this incredible local resource.

A special thank-you to Ardie Russell, Executive Director of the Feeder Canal Alliance, for guiding our group and sharing the history, stories, and ongoing work that helps preserve the canal for our community. 🌿

🌿 A more accessible way to experience the history and beauty of Ulysses S. Grant Cottage State Historic Site & National Historic Landmark is here!

The Friends of Grant Cottage Historic Site invite the community to celebrate the completion of the new accessible Eastern Overlook Path with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 8.

The new 850-foot hard-surfaced pathway replaces a steep, eroding hiking path, making it easier for more visitors to reach and enjoy the Eastern Overlook and its incredible panoramic views. ♿🌄

Beyond the scenery, the overlook offers views connected to the pivotal 1777 Saratoga Campaign during the American Revolution — adding another opportunity for visitors to explore our region’s history during the 250th anniversary of American independence.
