MISSION STATEMENT

We support the treasured traditions of this cherished community of Lake George. Wood Park.

We support the treasured traditions of this cherished community of Lake George. These traditions will help form our vision of tomorrow. We believe our vision of tomorrow will be nurtured by the bonding of our talented residents with enlightened governance. Led by co-founders, Karen Azer & Joanne Gavin, the Lake George Citizens' Group came together spontaneously in September of 2008 to oppose the i

ll- conceived and wasteful spending to preserve abandoned fifty-year-old summer carnival buildings on the former Gaslight Village property. The Town of Lake George championed this venture without any plan whatsoever. The Lake George Citizens' Group worked tirelessly, County wide, and today we all celebrate the open-space and conservation initiative that is now on its way to completion at the site now know as The Charles R. The Lake George Citizens' Group stays informed about our Town & Village Governments and the needs of the surrounding community. Through a varied network we dispense information and listen to the community. When an issue of significant impact comes forward we work to obtain community opinions. Through that same network we strongly encourage people to write letters, come to public meetings, and share their thoughts with our elected officials. We encourage the elected officials to be responsive to the needs and opinions of those they serve.
