Alireza Amidi
In July 2024, Alireza Amidi became the first President of both the United States Air Sports Federation (U.S.A.S.F) and the World Air Sports Federation (W.A.S.F), and the first individual of Persian descent to hold this historic leadership position.
A Champion of the United States of America in Air Sports, he has earned 34 medals, 31 trophies, and Diamond Wing Awards throughout a lifetime dedicated to the sport. Coming from a family deeply rooted in air sports, his passion evolved into a mission to elevate athletes and restore integrity to the sport.
Through his leadership, the USA achieved unprecedented success — rising from 96th to 1st place in Pan America (individual ranking) and from 0 to 26th place worldwide (team ranking). These accomplishments were achieved and officially recorded for the first time in U.S. sports history.
Beyond competition, he established U.S.A.S.F and W.A.S.F to address the long-standing disorder in air sports by implementing comprehensive rules, regulations, safety standards, and strategic frameworks. His goal is to create a structured, fair, and disciplined environment where athletes can thrive.
His ultimate vision is to position the United States as a global leader in air sports, promoting justice, fairness, value, and identity — ensuring excellence in national and international competitions under U.S.A.S.F and worldwide governance through W.A.S.F.
