Try it on the ones doing it 😡😡
Nineteen Republican lawmakers have successfully requested language in the House NIH spending bill that would ban federal funding for animal experiments designed to study the effects of drugs, surgery, or other interventions intended to alter the human body to no longer correspond to its biological s*x.
The lawmakers, led by Representatives Paul Gosar and Lauren Boebert, wrote to appropriations subcommittee leaders in March citing dozens of NIH grants issued under the Biden administration that allegedly funded experiments creating what they described as transfeminine and transmasculine lab mice, rats, and monkeys.
The letter claimed animals subjected to these experiments were subsequently wounded, shocked, injected with street drugs and vaccinations, and subjected to other procedures.
The anti-animal testing group White Coat Waste Project helped uncover the grants. The same funding ban was included in the fiscal year 2026 spending bill. Lawmakers argued that despite the Trump administration cancelling some grants, others connected to the research remained active.
