Happy First Day of Spring! 🌷 Did you know? Today is the halfway marker to our favorite time of year.

The countdown to Fall Fest 2026 starts NOW. We’re using these warmer months to build bigger attractions, plan better snacks, and make sure this year is our "gourd-est" one yet.

🍎 Did You Know? It’s Johnny Appleseed Day! 🍎

Johnny Appleseed—whose real name was John Chapman (1774–1845)—was an American pioneer who helped settlers by planting apple orchards across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

He didn’t just toss apple seeds around like the legend says. He carefully planted nurseries and returned later to care for them. The apples he grew were often used to make hard cider, an important drink for pioneers in the early 1800s.

Known for his kindness, love of animals, and simple lifestyle, Johnny Appleseed traveled the frontier sharing his faith and helping communities grow.

📅 National Johnny Appleseed Day is celebrated March 11 to mark the start of apple planting season (it’s also celebrated on his birthday, September 26). 🍏🌳

Next time you enjoy an apple, remember the man who helped plant the roots of America’s apple orchards.

🍂That’s a wrap on the Fall Fest Fun Zone! 🎪

A huge thank-you to Heidi’s Huggamug Café for keeping our crew fueled with delicious breakfast sandwiches during set-up, to the Lake City Tigers Football team for their help getting everything ready, and to Rustic Coffeehouse for the tasty donuts during take-down! 🍳🏈🍩

We also want to thank all of our amazing sponsors, volunteers, and community members who helped make Fall Fest such a fun and successful event. The Fun Zone has officially been taken down, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
