Sat - Mon, Oct 10-12 in the South Lake Tahoe area.

We will drive to Fallen Leaf Lake Campground in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday morning. Hike nearby and make camp on Saturday. Weather permitting, we will rock climb Sunday at 90 Foot Wall in Eagle Creek Canyon above Emerald Bay. Scouts and adults not wanting to climb may hike to Eagle Lake. On Monday, we will try to hike up to Glen Alpine Falls and then head home to Petaluma. Pack a sack lunch for Saturday and money for In-N-Out on the drive home.

(Most schools have Monday, Oct 12 off as a holiday or teacher work day.)

Our first full day at Winton was busy! Camp was a bit wet in the morning but it dried out by lunch.

Scouts have been busy working on Merit Badges, passing the swim test/ polar bear swimming, joining the night hike, studying the night sky, earing their totin chip, and so much more! In between all the crazy fun, we have been cleaning up camp, building picnic tables, and hanging shade sails around the dining area.

Troop 7 retired the colors on Monday evening. We are all LOVING the Troop 7 representation on staff! Today Zeke was the camp Medic, Evan on waterfront, and Cait in Handicraft.

Good morning from drizzly Camp Winton!

We made it to camp safe and sound, everyone did great on the hike in, and there are smiles all around!

We were last in line for check-in, so we JUST made it to flags, but our scouts just rolled with it.

We set up our camp site before campfire, and were lucky to have about half an hour after campfire to get ready for bed before the rain started.

Over night drizzles followed by a still damp polar bear plunge, flags and breakfast hasnt dampened spirits. Our scouts are all having a great time and just headed out to find their first merit badge counselors.

Trinity's Eagle Project continues today, Friday June 19

Lunch expected around 12:30-1pm . Yesterday was pizza and ice cream. Today is mystery...

Setting fence posts in concrete and assembling the panels today! Hopefully getting the surface put down, w**d block, gopher wire, rock and dirt.
