Interested in becoming a Court interpreter? Looking for a new career path or a part time hustle? Curious but not sure where to start?

Attend our Intro to Court Interpreting on January 22nd, from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM at the Kaibigan ng Lāhaina Recovery and Resource Center, where we will go over expectations.

Once certified, your name will be added on the Court Interpreter Registry. You will be an independent contractor and are NOT Judiciary employees- which means you can work anywhere an interpreter is needed!

October was a month full of events at Kaibigan ng Lāhaina Recovery & Resource Center! In celebration of Filipino American History Month, we hosted several events, including the Community Dinner & Talk Story; the Seniors’ Breakfast & Talk Story; the Children’s Fil-Am Book Fair; a Tagalog Culture, Language, & History Class; a folklore workshop on Hawaiian & Filipino Mythology; and an Ilokano Culture, Language, & History Class. Attendees enjoyed interactive learning and cultural exploration through games, slides, videos, and other fun activities.

A huge thanks to our instructors Dr. Sydney Villegas, Wendy Pias, and Dr. Debra Andres-Arellano! Stay tuned for more exciting events as we wrap up the year!
