Congratulations to the Laguna Housing Development and Management Enterprise - LHDME!

LHDME was honored with the Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award for its Laguna III affordable housing development — a top award in the LIHTC industry.

The award was presented by the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition in Washington, D.C., during a ceremony attended by members of Congress and affordable housing industry leaders.

We were honored to partner on this successful project for Pueblo of Laguna families.

And one more to add for the day! LHDME has received the Travois Superhero Award for the Transformative Initiative of the Year for our Laguna #4 Rehabilitation Resyndication project we just completed for the Green Acres community. Transformative Initiative of the Year: This honor goes to a project team for its exemplary work on a rehabilitation project or revitalization effort that breathes new life into its community.

Lisa Bautista, Tracy Cheresposy, and Dominic Torrez are attending the Travois Annual Conference this week and received the award on behalf of LHDME!

We are grateful for our project partners: Pueblo of Laguna Tribal Council, Travois, Pavilion Construction, Housing New Mexico, RBC, Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, and our LHDME staff and Board!

The Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition (AHTCC) announced that Laguna III in Laguna, New Mexico, is a 2026 recipient of the Recognition of Housing Tax Credit Excellence in the Native American Housing category. Announced at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on September 23, 2026, attended by members of Congress and affordable housing industry leaders, recipients were chosen by a panel of experts who recognized properties in ten different categories following a rigorous selection process.

Kwa'kwah/Dawa'eh (Thank you) to the Pueblo of Laguna Tribal Council, LHDME staff and Board, Travois, Pavilion Construction, Housing New Mexico, RBC, and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. These partners made the project possible and we are grateful to serve the POL communities.
