Laguna Niguel Pump Track

Laguna Niguel Pump Track With the Chet Holifield Building Federal Building closing down, we're building a pump track

02/27/2023

Our goal is to plan, organize, and execute on a proposal to the City of Laguna Niguel - Government expressing the community's interest in placing a safe and fun Cycling Track at the former Chet Holifield Federal Building.

My name is Anthony Thomas, I was born and raised on our local trails and have had a successful career in the Cycling Industry including extensive work with Non-Profits and Cycling safety initiatives like the Pump Track in San Diego.

My Goals are the following:
- To assemble a group of advocates that will facilitate our mutual goal of a local Pump Track
- To create and provide a safe and accessible cycling skills area
- Addressing the growing/trending concern of E-Bikes (Safety and skill development would benefit the entire community)
- Laguna Niguel is a HUB in the MTB community- The Woods Canyon and Laguna Trail systems are absolutely known around the WORLD. A Pump Track offers the opportunity to secure our city's future as a cycling-focused destination
- Learning how to be RAD on a bike is something every kid should have a place to do, in a fun and safe environment
- Our local South County cities serious lack ANY/ALL community programs that ARE FREE. This Bike Park will help the community by providing a healthy and productive activity. (look at the success of our Skate Park, now serving as an exemplary park for other cities in Socal!!!)

Thanks for reading, I'd love to hear from anyone that would be interested in Contributing.
