🎓 TRIBAL SUCCESS ALERT: CONGRATULATIONS KIARA PLAISANCE! 🎓

The academic victories for the Bayou Lafourche Band keep growing! Today, we are proud to celebrate a major next step for one of our exceptional young Tribal members, Kiara Plaisance. 🧠🌟

Kiara has just been officially accepted into Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where she will be pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Child & Adolescent Development! 📚🏫

Kiara’s chosen path is one of profound importance. By dedicating her education to understanding and supporting the development of children and adolescents, she is preparing to enter a field that is vital to the health, wellness, and strength of our families and future generations.

Her program officially begins on June 29, and her entire Tribe stands behind her as she begins this journey into higher education.

Kiara, we are incredibly proud of your ambition, your focus, and your commitment to a field that does so much good for our world. We wish you the absolute best as you start your classes this summer! 🏹❤️

🎓 CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2026: CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GRADUATES! 🎓

Last night marked a momentous milestone as high school graduation ceremonies took place across Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes!

The Bayou Lafourche Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha Indians wishes to extend our grandest congratulations to all of our Tribal members who walked across the stage or received academic awards last night, whether you graduated right here in our home parish of Lafourche, in neighboring Terrebonne, or anywhere else across the country. You have made your families, your ancestors, and your Nation incredibly proud! 🏹🌟

To Our Neighbors and Friends:
We also want to send a heartfelt congratulations to all the students within our broader parish communities who graduated last night. Reaching this milestone takes years of dedication from students, parents, and teachers alike. We celebrate your achievement and wish you all the very best as you step into your futures!

A Note to Our Tribal Families:
As Secretary, it is my absolute priority to ensure our people are recognized. We have done our best to honor every single Tribal graduate and student achievement we were made aware of over the last few weeks. However, if we inadvertently missed your student's big day or special award, please accept my sincere apologies.

🖍️ TRIBAL YOUTH SPOTLIGHT: CONGRATS TO OUR LITTLEST GRADUATE, NOLA PERRY! ☀️🎨

The future of the Bayou Lafourche Band is filled with bright smiles, hard work, and a lot of color! Today, we are absolutely thrilled to celebrate one of our youngest tribal members, Nola Perry, who just graduated from Pre-K! 🎓✨

Not only did Nola complete her very first milestone in school, but she was also honored with the "Most Neatest & Colorful Award"! 🏆 This special recognition celebrates her neatness and her wonderfully colorful choices that brighten up everything she does.

Big milestones start small, and Nola is already proving that our tribal youth bring excellence, joy, and dedication into the classroom from day one.

Nola, your Tribe is so incredibly proud of you! We hope you have the most fun summer ever, and we cannot wait to see you shine as you head into Kindergarten! 🏹❤️

🌟 Tribal Youth Spotlight: Celebrating Excellence & Perseverance 🌟
The Bayou Lafourche Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha Indians is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of one of our own: Roselyn Cheramie!

Roselyn was recently honored with the Top Scholar Award, a prestigious recognition of academic excellence. While this award is a major milestone, it’s the journey to get there that truly inspires us. Roselyn has shown incredible grit and determination, working twice as hard to overcome past academic hurdles and transform her focus into high-level success. Her story is a perfect example of how hard work and a "never give up" attitude can change your future.

Beyond the classroom, Roselyn is a familiar face to many of us. Despite her young age, she is one of our most active and dedicated youth members, always showing up for the Tribe and participating with a heart for our community and culture.
