We’re having so much fun at Treats at the Village at LARC’s Acadian Village! This year’s theme is video games, so we went with an all-time favorite, Pac-Man!

We hope to see lots of our participants and plenty of new faces, too! We’ll be here passing out candy until 8 PM!

Arc of Acadiana will be participating in Treats at the Village tomorrow at 5 PM at LARC’s Acadian Village! This free trick-or-treating event is for individuals with special needs and their families, and we’re excited to be part of it! Stop by and come see us!🎃👻🧡

Today was a wonderful day at The Arc of Louisiana Annual Awards, and we are proud to share that Arc of Acadiana was recognized with several awards!

Jessica Hebert Perez was recognized as DSP of the Year for her 24 years with Arc of Acadiana and the difference she has made in the lives of so many individuals. She currently manages our Admiral Doyle Resale Store and does an absolutely fabulous job!

Our Board President, Larry Hensgens, received the 2026 Lelia Shaw Award, which recognizes an outstanding board member from a local Arc chapter. Larry is so deserving of this recognition, and we are grateful for his leadership and dedication.

Participants Jeremy Callier and John Magee received the Community Living Award, recognizing individuals with disabilities who have successfully transitioned into the community from a non-community setting. Jeremy and John are roommates who transitioned to independent living in May, and we could not be prouder of them and this exciting milestone!🧡

Jessica joined Arc of Acadiana in 2011 as an Administrative Assistant and later advanced to Program Manager. We’re proud to see her continue to grow with our organization and look forward to all she will accomplish in this new role!

We are so grateful for the support of Erath High School!

This week, they collected nearly 3,000 T-shirts and 1,072 pounds of Mardi Gras beads that will be sorted and sold through Arc of Acadiana Resale Store in Vermilion. Thank you to everyone who helped make this collection possible and continues to support Arc of Acadiana!♻️🧡
