It’s been a great ride for the Flyers as we wrapped up our final tournament.

When we started this team during the spring of our 9u season, we didn’t know anything about this world. We wanted to have some fun, learn to be competitive, and help our players get better. We got good advice, bad advice, and we made plenty of mistakes. We were far from perfect, but we learned and got better, even when it was time to cross over to the other side of the fence and let the real coaches work. (Big thanks to Kevin Cantrelle). I know that we did our best and I’ll never forget the last 5 1/2 seasons. We experienced fantastic hot streaks, awful slumps and everything in between, but I can remember at least one game-changing play from every kid who ever played on the Flyers and I think they all have great memories.

To all the Flyers families, current and former, thank you for giving us a chance with your sons and I hope you enjoyed the journey.

Here’s to success at the next level for each of these young men!
