This semester, we spent 15 weeks with the freshmen at Southside High School diving into real-life lessons through our Too Good for Drugs and Violence program.

Today, we celebrated their hard work with donuts and chocolate milk by recognizing the classes who scored the highest on their post-tests! 🎉

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do, investing in students, building life skills, and celebrating their achievements every step of the way.

We’re so proud of the freshmen sharks and excited for what’s ahead! 🦈

Our team was challenged by Love Our Schools earlier this week to participate in week, a litter and beautification initiative through Billy Nungesser Lt. Governor of Louisiana’s Keep Louisiana Beautiful program! 💙 Needless to say, we were happy to accept the challenge by picking up around the Oil Center!

We loved spending our day outside, which is why we’re challenging Acadiana Area Human Services District, The Family Tree, and Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center, giving them a reason to get out, enjoy the sunny weather, and be part of keeping our community beautiful. 🫶

This Women’s History Month, we’d like to celebrate the women behind the mission at Foundation for Wellness.

Our organization was built on the dedication of promoting the total well-being of women and their families since 1980. Today, that legacy continues through the incredible women who lead our programs, partnerships, and mission every day. Thank you to every woman who has helped shape this organization and for being the heart behind the mission. 💙

💊 Did you know many teens who misuse prescription drugs get them from home or from friends, not strangers?

As National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week comes to an end, we want to remind parents and guardians that simple steps like safe storage, awareness, and open conversations can make a meaningful difference.
Through our Too Good for Drugs & Violence program, we proudly partner with schools to help students navigate topics such as medication safety, emotion management, and how to make well-rounded choices for a healthy future.

🧠 Did you know?

The brain isn’t fully developed until around age 25, especially the areas that control decision-making and impulse control.

In recognition of National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week, it’s important to understand how early substance use can impact memory, learning, and overall long-term development. We've been proud to offer Too Good for Drugs & Violence, a comprehensive program for schools that helps children build the skills to make healthy, confident choices. Knowledge is power and we invite you to learn more: https://foundationforwellness.com/too-good/.

Thank you for making Pediatric Jambalaya 2026 such a success! From engaging sessions to progressive conversations and valuable community resources, Saturday, February 28 at the PC53 - Petroleum Club of Lafayette was a true reflection of what's possible when healthcare professionals come together with purpose. We are grateful for every attendee, sponsor, and exhibitor who participated and helped create an insightful experience.

And to our exceptional speakers:
Dr. Ryan Farmer, Dr. Brittany Poinson, Dr. Richard Howes, and Dr. Regina Zambrano.
Your expertise strengthens our healthcare community and supports the children and families we serve. We’re already looking forward to next year.
