Or finding transportation. Looking for work. Even getting basic things like clothing and hygiene essentials.

When we asked Jake, one of our Community Peers, what he actually does at Paul's Plan, these are some of the things he talked about.

Because getting back on your feet after incarceration involves a whole lot more than just walking out the door.

Helping people navigate those everyday challenges is part of what we do. 💜

At Paul's Plan, we listen without judgment, respect each person's choices, and stand alongside them when they need support. 💜

People talk a lot about second chances. But what about everything that comes after somebody gets released?

Finding housing. Getting to appointments. Looking for work. Figuring out transportation. Keeping up with requirements.

And trying to juggle all of it at once, often without much room for error.

Getting released doesn't mean everything magically falls into place.

At Paul's Plan Ministries, we help people navigate those challenges and connect with community resources right here in Lafayette.

Because a second chance shouldn't mean having to figure everything out alone. 💜

Peer Support: Let's Clear Something Up. 💜
Peer support isn't about somebody telling you how to live your life.

It's about having somebody in your corner who's been through some stuff themselves.

Sometimes that means tough conversations. Other times, it's working through a problem, having somebody back you up when you're not being heard, or just having a good laugh. 😂

We're not here to run anybody's life. We're here to listen, share our experience, and stand alongside people as they make their own decisions.

That's peer support. And that's how we do things at Paul's Plan. 💜

🚴 **JOIN US FOR THE 2026 SPOKES OF RECOVERY RIDE!** 🚴‍♀️

We’re excited to announce the **2026 Spokes of Recovery Ride**, happening **Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM!**

The first 50 registrations will receive a free scoop of ice cream from our newest sponsor the Silver Dipper!!!!

This ride is about more than miles—it’s about **recovery, hope, second chances, and strengthening our community.**

❤️ **All proceeds from the Spokes of Recovery Ride will directly support people transitioning back into our communities.** Funds raised will help Paul’s Plan Ministries provide critical reentry and recovery supports that help individuals overcome barriers when returning home—including transportation, identification and documentation, housing connections, basic needs, recovery support, and other resources needed to successfully rebuild their lives.

Every ticket purchased, every rider who participates, and every person who shares this event helps us remind people that **reentry doesn’t have to happen alone.**

We are happy to share our that PPM's second annual fundraiser the 2026 Spokes of Recovery Ride is officially open for registration. Additionally, the first 50 registrants will get a free scoop of ice cream on behalf of our newest sponsor the Silver Dipper!!! Get registered today! All proceeds go towards providing financial and recovery support services to person's leaving the criminal justice system and reentering our community. These people are ready to change their lives and just need a little support to never have to go back to incarceration again and your support can help make that happen! Thanks so all of our sponsors!
