The first WYBN Series event at Red Cedar is officially in the books! 🎣

North of 8 Bassmasters had a strong showing, with Cooper Aho & Braydon Orlich bringing home 2nd place with 14.40 lbs, while Beau Ducommun & Derrick Lato secured 3rd place with 14.35 lbs! 💪

A great finish all around from the rest of the team as well. We’re proud of the way everyone competed and represented North of 8!

Next stop: The Minocqua Chain on October 4th, where we’ll continue to hunt down a birth to Nationals! 🏆

It all came down to the wire at our final stop of the season as we crowned our 2026 Angler of the Year!
North of 8 Bassmasters found them today on Red Cedar with a 3-fish limit.

Watch out for these 2 😅 in the last month North of 8s Cooper Aho and Braydon Orlich have been unstoppable! Winning 3 of their local club events in a row and taking 1st and 2nd with the help of their partners at our recent highschool tournament!

If you are a high school student who loves to fish and wants to try to compete at a state and even national level, North of 8 Bassmasters High School Club is looking for more high school anglers to join us! 🐟🏆

Whether you’re an experienced bass fisherman or just getting started, we’d love to have you. You don’t have to be an expert — if you enjoy being on the water, want to learn, compete, make new friends, and have a great time, this is a great opportunity!

Our goal isn’t just to grow our club — we want to help grow the sport of competitive bass fishing for students across our state. We want to give more young anglers the opportunity to get on the water, compete, learn the sport, and experience everything competitive fishing has to offer. 🎣

If you’re interested in joining, or if you know a high school student who would be interested in fishing with us, please reach out to me! I can help get you enrolled in our club or point you in the right direction to get started.

Dear Rusk County Wildlife Restoration Association, Aiming for the Future, and Flambeau Bassmasters

Our club North of 8 Bassmasters would like to take a minute and thank all the organizations who believed in our mission and helped fund and start this group of young successful anglers! Thank you for your generous donations and support! Because of your funding you helped start North of 8 Bassmasters! We were able to capture the State Championship which sent one of our teams to the National Championship in Paris, TN in our first year!
