Puppy Foster or Foster Adopt Homes Needed!
Everyone, we don't know quite why we still have 3/4 of our "Little Women" litter of puppies, but we do!! These Dachshund/possibly Chihuahua/with a sprinkle of Beagle (the breed mix is totally a guess!!) are happy, bouncy babies~ 6 months old and 15/16 #. Meg and Beth are still in boarding and would really rather be spending time in their forever homes! Amy is in a foster home and will be featured next week:) These are the sweetest and most playful and gentle pups, with a dash of orneryness that will surely keep you laughing. With their current age and size, we believe they will be 25-35 # full grown so the perfect size for traveling to camp or around town.
Meg is a little more spunky and fearless. She considers herself a master or parkour, hurdles and the high jump. No toy is safe in her path and the world is hers to conquer. If you have a shoe that needs untied, a pantleg to rustle or a treat to be eaten she is your girl! She does seem to have springs on her feet and she is a jumper so homes with small children may not be the best for her.
Beth is playful, submissive and very gentle, but she does like to jump up on people so she also may be too much for small children. She will roll over pretty quickly for belly rubs but then bounce back up and be ready to take on the world. She is a bit of a local celebrity since he went on 7 News with Dr Miller (our veterinarian) a few weeks ago and was the perfect understudy for her "cst care" talk.
Won't you help us show these sweet pups a bright future and give them homes to show them a little love, tlc, guidance and what it means to have a forever home?
Due to their size, activity levels and age, foster to adopt requirements are:
📖Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
📚Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
📖Being able to bring each back to our vets office in Adams for additional care, if needed, prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking each to your current vet to be established.
📚They are pups so they should be good with children over 10 years, dogs and possibly even cats if shown boundaries.
📖Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
📚Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.
📖An adoption donation of $550 is being asked for each if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. They had their initial vet check, are current on vaccines, dewormings and prescription flea and tick medications and they have been spayed.
The first step in our adoption process is the veterinary reference check so please be sure to call your veterinarian's office, so we can get this step out of the way.
