As we enter the holiday season, I imagine most people are excited about the prospect of a big dinner with a table full of friends and family. What if you didn't have the means to provide a proper meal for your family? That could be the case for a great number of your neighbors.

The food pantry served a record number of families during the last 2 weekends. Over 130 families reached out for assistance each of the last 2 Saturdays. This means we are continuing our efforts of reaching out for community involvement.

Got some extra time during the week or on Saturday mornings? Reach out to be a volunteer.
Have the means to offer support from your wallet? Consider a donation of food or money.

We wouldn't be asking for assistance if it weren't needed. Please consider be a beacon of hope and peace of mind for your friends and neighbors. Thank you!

Hello! It has been a bit since we have reached out for assistance. With the increased need in the community, we are experiencing some difficulties in filling the need. Donations can be dropped off at the Pantry on Saturdays from 8 am to noon, at IGA or the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lacon. Monetary donations can also be mailed to 405 N Washington, Ste A, Lacon, IL 61540.
Here are a few things we are always looking for:
Boxes
Plastic grocery bags
Fresh/frozen meats
Canned vegetables
Canned meats/Tuna
Soups/broths
Cereal
Pasta
Pasta sauce/canned tomatoes
Stuffing mix
Canned yams
Instant potatoes
Cake mixes/dessert mixes
Pancake mix/biscuit mix
Toilet paper
Shampoo
Toothpaste
