Koinonia Food Pantry Food Pantry Serving Lacon, IL and other communities in Marshall County. We are open to residents of Marshall County that qualify using state guidelines.

We are open from 9AM to noon every Saturday. We are located at the back of the Lacon Community Center on Washington St.

The pantry is in need of boxes! Start saving your Amazon boxes please! The boxes need to be able to fit in a cart so nothing really big or really small. Please bring them to the pantry Saturday mornings between 8am and noon. Thank you!

The official summer season is (almost) underway!
The need at the food pantry has continued to increase. We are always in need of donations to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors. Please consider helping the pantry if you are able.

The biggest need right now is boxes and bags. We need medium size boxes that will fit in a cart and plastic bags.

We are always in need of the following items:
* canned goods, especially green vegetables, soups, canned meats/tuna
* cereal
* pasta, sauces and canned tomato products
* macaroni and cheese
* toilet paper
* jello/pudding
* canned fruit
* baby food/diapers
* sugar substitues

Any donations are appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at IGA or the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lacon or check with your church to see if they are accepting donations to bring to the pantry. Donations can also be dropped off at the pantry on Saturday mornings from 8am to noon. Thank you!

As we enter the holiday season, I imagine most people are excited about the prospect of a big dinner with a table full of friends and family. What if you didn't have the means to provide a proper meal for your family? That could be the case for a great number of your neighbors.

The food pantry served a record number of families during the last 2 weekends. Over 130 families reached out for assistance each of the last 2 Saturdays. This means we are continuing our efforts of reaching out for community involvement.

Got some extra time during the week or on Saturday mornings? Reach out to be a volunteer.
Have the means to offer support from your wallet? Consider a donation of food or money.

We wouldn't be asking for assistance if it weren't needed. Please consider be a beacon of hope and peace of mind for your friends and neighbors. Thank you!

Hello! It has been a bit since we have reached out for assistance. With the increased need in the community, we are experiencing some difficulties in filling the need. Donations can be dropped off at the Pantry on Saturdays from 8 am to noon, at IGA or the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lacon. Monetary donations can also be mailed to 405 N Washington, Ste A, Lacon, IL 61540.

Fresh/frozen meats
Canned vegetables
Canned meats/Tuna
Soups/broths
Cereal
Pasta
Pasta sauce/canned tomatoes
Stuffing mix
Canned yams
Instant potatoes
