The Troup County Board of Commissioners will address the errors with ballots in District 2, Lagrange City Council race Thursday, October 20 at 9 am. during their regular work session meeting.

The meeting will be held at the first floor Commission Chambers of the Troup County Government Center (Court House) located at 100 Ridley Avenue, Lagrange, Georgia. 30240. Call 706-883-1610 if you have any questions.

The Troup County NAACP is aware of the error on the Lagrange ballot for district 2 council race and we are conducting an investigation into this matter to eliminate any suspicion of sabotage during this election. We will keep you updated.

Good morning, as you all may know by now that five West Point Officers have been placed on administrative leave after a video surfaced of one of them appearing to throw a homeowners security camera across their yard.

We are aware of the situation and understand that the GBI has been contacted to assist in this case. We stand ready to assist with a resolution, we are following it closely. We believe that people rights should be protected.
