Friends,
I know it's been a little while since you've heard from us, but Illinois Valley Recovery is still here and we're not going anywhere.
The last few months have been incredibly busy, but also very rewarding. Building a recovery organization takes a tremendous amount of time and effort, and once baseball season arrives, life gets even busier. Between coaching, umpiring, practices, working a full-time job Monday through Friday, and preparing for a wedding in another country, the calendar fills up quickly and the days seem to blur together.
Before I knew it, it was June, and we had only hosted one sober event this year.
For that, I sincerely apologize. Our goal has always been to provide fun, meaningful, sober activities and events for people throughout the Illinois Valley. As a small organization, we're doing our best to balance that mission with the many responsibilities that come with everyday life.
The good news is that Illinois Valley Recovery remains committed to serving our community. We're using this season as a learning experience to better manage our time, energy, and resources so we can continue growing and offering more opportunities in the future.
Thank you for your patience, support, and belief in what we're building. More is coming, and we're excited for what's ahead.
We love you all, and we're still here fulfilling our mission to help people:
Get Sober. Stay Sober. Live Sober.
