We wanted to take a minute to give a very deserved shoutout to WDSportsMedia
If you’ve been around local basketball tournaments, you’ve probably seen them on the sidelines with a camera. They show up, take some amazing pictures of these kids, and share them for families to enjoy — without asking for anything in return.
And honestly, it means a lot.
As parents, we spend so much time at these games just being there. We’re watching, cheering, stressing, talking to other parents, helping with kids… and a lot of the time, taking pictures is the last thing on our minds. Then a few days later, we get to scroll through WDSportsMedia’s page and find a picture of our kid in a moment we never would have captured ourselves.
These boys are growing up way too fast. Someday the tournaments, long weekends in gyms, sweaty jerseys, big wins, tough losses and all the chaos that comes with youth basketball are going to be memories. Having pictures of these days to look back on is something we probably won’t fully appreciate until then.
So thank you, WDSportsMedia, for showing up for these kids and our local sports community. Thank you for spending your time behind the camera so the rest of us can be in the stands, living these moments with our kids.
If you’ve ever found a picture of your athlete on their page that made you smile, go give them a follow and show their page some love. They deserve it.

Every tournament is another opportunity to learn, grow, and become better teammates and better athletes. We couldn’t be more proud of the effort these boys gave all weekend long.

A huge thank you to all of the parents, families, and supporters who spend their weekends in the gym cheering these boys on. Your support means everything.

Hoopfest 2026 is officially in the books, and we couldn’t be more proud of our LC Future YBH players, coaches, and families.
This year was a huge milestone for our program as four La Conner teams traveled to Spokane to compete in the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world. Every one of our teams fought their way into Sunday competition, showing incredible determination, teamwork, and heart.
One of the best parts of the weekend had nothing to do with the final scores. It was watching our players support one another. Whether it was our youngest team cheering on the older boys or the older players returning the favor, our athletes showed what it truly means to be part of the LC Future family. They celebrated together, encouraged each other through tough games, and represented our community with class.
We also want to give a huge shoutout to our 4th/5th grade boys, who brought home the Hoopfest Championship! 🏆 Your hard work, commitment, and perseverance paid off, and we couldn’t be more excited for you!
To every player who wore an LC Future jersey this weekend: thank you for representing La Conner with pride. To our coaches, volunteers, parents, families, sponsors, and everyone who has supported our program throughout the year—thank you. None of this would be possible without your encouragement and generosity.
Weekends like this remind us why LC Future YBH exists. We’re not just building basketball players—we’re building teammates, leaders, and a community that shows up for one another.
We’re already looking forward to next year. 💙💛

🏀 Looking for a team for Valley Fest? 🏀

La Conner Future YBH is looking to help put together 3v3 basketball teams for the Valley Fest Tournament on August 15–16!

If your son is interested in playing but doesn’t have a team, or if you have a couple players and need help filling a roster, let us know. We’d love to help connect players and get as many kids on the court as possible.

This is a great local tournament, tons of fun, and a chance to compete with friends while representing our community.
