Some stories stay with you and this is one of them. ❤️

We recently had the honor of donating a 2013 Mazda 3 to a single mother who has been facing incredibly difficult circumstances with very little family support all while caring for her young daughter.

She had been borrowing a vehicle that didn’t even have a functioning driver’s side door or air conditioning. Every day meant climbing in and out of the car, often feeling embarrassed, especially while sitting in the pickup line at her daughter’s school. But she kept going. She didn’t give up.

Standing at the clerk’s office came a moment we'll never forget, she heard the words: “Congratulations, it’s yours.” Tears immediately filled her eyes. But the moment didn’t end there. When she walked out and opened the driver’s side door of her very own car, the tears came again… this time even stronger.

Because it wasn’t just a car.

It was dignity.
It was relief.
It was a fresh start.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to everyone who makes these stories possible... our donors, volunteers, and partners. You are helping change lives in ways that truly matter. 🙏🚗

🚗Churches of Knoxville, We Need You!🙌

Mobilizing Knoxville is currently seeking 1–3 local churches to partner with us for our upcoming “Serve Under the Hood: Free Oil Change Day” on May 23!

This outreach is all about meeting a real, practical need in our community by providing:
✔️ Free oil changes
✔️ Multi-point inspections
✔️ In critical cases, brakes

Here’s how your church can make an impact:

🔧 Identify 3–5 individuals or families in need
We encourage you to prioritize:
▪️ Single-parent households
▪️ Seniors
▪️ Those facing financial hardship

🚘 Selected individuals will complete a simple form, submit basic documents, and we’ll handle the scheduling.

🙋‍♂️ Help mobilize volunteers
▪️ Promote the event within your church
▪️ Share on social media
▪️ Encourage members to serve

No mechanical experience is required for many volunteer roles!
