VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: PRE-INSPECTORS NEEDED!

Mobilizing Knoxville is looking for a few volunteers with a strong mechanical background who can help us with an important step in serving our clients.

Our Pre-Inspectors meet with approved clients at their home or another public location to take a look at their vehicle, identify the repairs that are needed, and determine whether those repairs are something Mobilizing Knoxville can assist with.

Then, you report your findings back to our office and we take it from there. We’ll handle the client communication and get them scheduled for repairs.

What does a Pre-Inspector do?
✅ Meet with an approved client
✅ Inspect their vehicle
✅ Identify and assess needed repairs
✅ Determine what we may be able to assist with
✅ Report your findings to the Mobilizing Knoxville team

What you DON'T do:
You won't be expected to make repairs at the inspection. This role is simply about using your mechanical knowledge to help us understand what the vehicle needs.

We're looking for someone who is:
✔️ Mechanically knowledgeable
✔️ Comfortable talking with people
✔️ Detail-oriented and dependable
✔️ Has own transportation
✔️ Willing to use their skills to serve others

This may happen behind the scenes, but your role is an important first step in helping families get safely back on the road.

On Saturday, August 15, churches across the Fountain City community will come together for one purpose... to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving our neighbors throughout Knoxville. Dozens of projects will take place across the city, and we're honored that Mobilizing Knoxville is one of them.

For our volunteers, it's business as usual! We'll be serving local families with vehicle repairs just like we do every month. Your willingness to serve continues to make reliable transportation possible for families who need it most.

We also encourage you to invite your family and friends to be a part of Inasmuch United. There are many meaningful projects happening across Knoxville where they can make a difference.

Every month, Mobilizing Knoxville helps local families stay on the road by providing free vehicle repairs and donated vehicles. None of it happens without volunteers, and right now we have several opportunities where you can make a real difference.

🔧 Mechanics Needed
📅 Saturday, July 18
📍 Thomas Tuning and Service
Help us complete much-needed vehicle repairs for individuals and families who depend on their cars to get to work, school, and medical appointments.

🧼 Vehicle Detail Volunteers Needed
A donated 2010 Dodge Caliber is almost ready for its new owner. We just need a volunteer (or team) to give it a thorough cleaning before it's presented to a family in need.

✅ Pre-Inspection Team
We're also looking for compassionate volunteers to join our pre-inspection team. Pre-inspectors visit clients at their home or workplace to complete a basic vehicle inspection before repairs are scheduled. This important step helps us determine the repairs needed and allows us to serve more people efficiently.

No matter your skill set, there's a place for you to serve. Whether you're turning wrenches, cleaning a vehicle, or helping us assess repair needs, you're giving someone hope and helping keep families moving forward.

We received this 2010 Dodge Caliber donation to give to a family in need. We will be doing a few needed repairs on it this weekend, but it also needs a cleaning. 🚗🧽
