We don’t know his full story only that it’s been a hard one. He’s now safe, healing, and surrounded by people who care.

The Wes Lambert Foundation isn’t a rescue. We’re not the heroes on the front lines. But we’re honored to play a small role by helping cover the cost of critical vet care when animals like Sebastian need it most.

It takes a village rescues, fosters, donors, vets, and compassionate people like you.

❄️🐾 Bitter Cold is Coming—Keep Your Pets Safe! 🐾❄️

With temperatures dropping to freezing highs and single-digit lows in the coming days, it’s critical to take extra precautions for your furry family members. Here’s how you can protect your pets from the bitter cold:

🐾 Bring Them Inside
No pet should stay outside in this extreme cold. Even with a coat of fur, freezing temperatures can be dangerous or even deadly.

🐾 Limit Outdoor Time
🚶‍♀️ Quick potty breaks only! Frostbite and hypothermia can set in faster than you think.

🐾 Cozy Sleeping Spots
🛏️ Make sure your pets have a warm, draft-free place to sleep. A soft bed or blanket away from cold floors or doors is perfect.

🐾 Protect Paws
❄️ Salt, ice, and frigid ground can hurt your pet’s paws. Use pet-safe booties or wipe their paws clean after walks.

🐾 Keep Water Fresh
💧 Outdoor bowls freeze quickly in these temps. Make sure your pet has access to fresh, unfrozen water at all times.

🐾 Bang on the Hood
🚗 Outdoor cats or strays may seek warmth under car hoods. Give it a tap before starting your engine.

🐾 Avoid Toxic Winter Products
☠️ Antifreeze is lethal for pets and often attracts them because of its sweet smell. Clean up spills immediately and keep it out of reach.

❗ Extreme cold isn’t just uncomfortable for pets—it’s dangerous. Keep your pets safe and warm, and spread the word to help others do the same.

💖 Meet LeeLee, a sweet pup who means the world to her owner. Thanks to The Wes Lambert Foundation, LeeLee was able to receive the care she needed to stay by her owner’s side.

We recently received this heartfelt message from LeeLee’s owner:
“I truly cannot put into words what it means to me that you made it possible for me to keep her with me a while longer. This little girl is my very best friend. You are all truly angels in this world that God sent to me to make a way when I did not have one.

I’m so thankful for the love and kindness you have shown to me and my sweet baby. Every time I think of it, I get so overwhelmed. I will be doing this for others one day and donating to this foundation when I am able to because it is truly an amazing thing.

Not only do you save the fur babies, but I am sure you also save the breaking hearts and lives of the owners as well—maybe in ways we don’t even realize.”

Winter Storms & Cold Noses: Protect Your Pets This Season! 🐾❄️

East Tennessee winters can be tough on our furry friends, too! While we’re bundling up and sipping cocoa, let’s make sure our pets are safe and cozy through the snow and freezing temps. Here are a few simple ways to show them love this winter—because they love us unconditionally, rain or snow:

🐕 Bring Them Inside:
If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them. Give your pets a warm spot indoors where they can rest and feel safe. Bonus: snuggles are free and heal the heart!

🥶 Protect Paws from Frostbite:
Salt and ice can hurt those sensitive paw pads. Rinse and dry their paws after outdoor walks, or invest in some adorable pet booties (trust us, they’ll thank you later).

🥤 Fresh Water Is Key:
Make sure outdoor water bowls don’t freeze over. Hydration is just as important in winter as in summer—plus, pets don’t love drinking snow as much as you think.

🛏 Cozy Bedding:
Provide thick blankets or a plush bed away from cold drafts. Even your outdoor barn cats deserve a cozy nook to curl up in.

🚨 Emergency Prep for Pets:

Magnus is a brave, handsome kitty who captured our hearts as the very first pet the Wes Lambert Foundation helped! 💕

Magnus faced a serious intestinal blockage, but thanks to the combined efforts of his loving family, a compassionate veterinary team, and our foundation, he received the life-saving surgery he needed. Magnus is now on the road to recovery, enjoying lots of love and treats.

As the Wes Lambert Foundation grows, we are reminded that every life we touch—like Magnus’s—is a step toward our mission of giving pets a second chance at a happy, healthy life.
