Sometimes we all need a little reminder to be more like Autumn. Thank you to Autumn’s Nana for raising her to be this kind of person.

This is Autumn who is 9 years old. She recently lost a tooth and received money. She asked her Nana if she could use that money to buy flowers for Detective Andrew Woods' memorial. Thank you Autumn and thank you Nana for helping her wish come true!💙

Celebration of life services for Phillip Andrew “Woodie” Woods will take place from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Union County High School located at 150 Main Street Maynardville, TN 37807 on Sunday June 29th, 2025. We will be carrying Woodies club colors on a bike in the procession. Anyone who is available and wants to attend the services and wants to ride with us will meet on the northbound shoulder of Maynardville Highway at the Knox County / Union County line. We will line up with the emergency vehicles to es**rt Woodie to the high school for the services. His colors will be on display after our arrival alongside his uniforms. Woodie served his community proudly as not only a Detective for the Union County Sheriff’s Office, but also as a Firefighter for the Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Department and as a part time dispatcher for Union County 911. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Department. Stay tuned for any future updates or changes.

It’s with a very heavy heart that the Volunteer Chapter of the Defender LEMC announces the passing of one of the best men the world has known. Our chapter Secretary Andrew Woods, or Woodie was completely healed this morning after a battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Woodie was one of the most kind men you could ever meet. He would do anything for anyone and never spoke an unkind word about any other person. He loved riding his motorcycle and was a huge contributor to our chapter. The world is a little dimmer without Woodie here with us but we find peace in knowing that he is with his dad and standing face to face with Jesus this morning completely healed and no longer suffering or in pain. We will miss you Woodie. Until we see you again.
