According to a source the ambulance service AMR is understaffed, overworked, underpaid and cannot keep ambulances on the road.

" fire Knoxville Fire Department - TN had to activate their special ambulance due to AMR Knoxville’s low staffing, causing an inability to respond to emergencies.," via insider.

The new ambulance is not intended for standard emergency medical services (EMS) calls. It will help KFD meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements to have a dedicated ambulance capable of handling specialized incidents, including hazardous materials (HazMat) response, technical rescue team (TRT) operations, and special medical incidents that require advanced equipment and trained personnel.

Hopefully the trend happens here! Scottsdale was once the crown jewel of private fire/ems.

The new ambulances will be operated by sworn firefighters who can respond to medical emergencies.

When will there be accountability? How many have perished due to the Knox County Commission and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs being so reckless and allowing this to continue for decades?
