🚨What a day with the Foothill FOOLS!🚨

Tri-Star FOOLS had the opportunity to help out with their Search Class, and it was a damn good day of training and firemanship.

We kicked off the morning working through different search-oriented stations, breaking down the fundamentals, techniques, and skills that matter when it’s time to go to work. After lunch, we turned up the heat and put everything from the morning into action during live-fire evolutions.

Skills were honed, reps were put in, new friendships were made, and there was solid firemanship all around. This is what FOOLS training is all about: firefighters coming together, sharing knowledge, getting better at the craft, and having a hell of a time doing it. Huge shoutout to the group of students and instructors who came together with a like-minded attitude to better not only ourselves, but each other! Solid group on both sides of the house.

Huge shoutout to Catoosa County Fire Department for providing an awesome facility and for being incredibly hospitable and accommodating throughout the class. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to train.

Thank you to the Foothill FOOLS for having us down. We had a great time and look forward to doing it again!

Can’t believe we are TWO DAYS OUT from this class! Like Dean said in the original posting on their page, gear inspections will be conducted and waivers will be signed. It’s going to be a solid day of learning, executing, and burning🔥🤺 Like the homies at Foothill FOOLS said, be sure to hydrate. You don’t want to fall out as a heat case in a training event… or any event actually! Drink that water and electrolytes, and in the meantime get pumped up for this class because we sure are! 🚨🚨😎😎🚨🚨

🔥Meet a FOOL Friday🔥

Quintin Key

Quintin is a career Firefighter and Advanced EMT with more than a decade in the fire service. He began his career with the City of Athens Fire Department, where he worked his way through the ranks to Captain, leading the B Shift crew on Engine 1. Today, Quintin serves as a Firefighter/A-EMT with the City of Lenoir City.
Quintin has a strong passion for training and firefighter development, especially when it comes to getting out of the classroom and putting in hands-on work. He believes in passing knowledge down, building up the next generation of firefighters, and making sure the people around him are prepared when it matters.
For Quintin, being a FOOL is another opportunity to surround himself with firefighters who care about the job, continue learning, and help push each other to get better.
Outside of the firehouse, Quintin enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their four children. Whether they're traveling, spending time outdoors, or exploring somewhere new, family always comes first.

Topics on Tap was a damn good time tonight!

We dove head first into the Firefighter Rescue Survey’s First 5,000 Grabs data and had some great conversations about what the numbers are actually telling us about search and victim rescue.

From there, the conversation took off. We shared experiences from the job, talked through how our respective departments approach search, discussed Cyanokits and their application in the fire service, and compared tactics, experiences, and lessons learned.

But just as important as the topic itself was getting firefighters from across the area together in the same room. Networking, talking shop, sharing some laughs, and having real conversations about the job.

No egos. Just firefighters getting together, sharing what they know, learning from each other, and working to get better at the craft.

That’s what the FOOLS is about.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out tonight and helped make this one a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

HUGE shoutout to Sonny’s Brewing for having us! The brews and food was delicious!

🔥Meet a FOOL Friday🔥

Emory Chamberlain

Emory has been a career firefighter with the Knoxville Fire Department for the past five years. The fire service has been part of his life for as long as he can remember thanks to his dad, who served nearly 30 years as a firefighter. At 14 years old, his dad introduced him to the Explorer program, and he has been hooked ever since.

The fire service has been Emory's only passion throughout his adult life. He is always looking for ways to learn more about the job and become a better firefighter. That is one of the biggest reasons he joined the Tri-Star FOOLS. He wanted to be surrounded by brothers who share the same passion and who challenge each other to keep getting better.
One verse that has always meant a lot to him is Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." He believes that is exactly what the fire service should be about. We all have something to teach, and we all have something to learn. The people you surround yourself with have a direct impact on the firefighter and the person you become.

Outside of the firehouse, Emory enjoys spending time outdoors. He also recently married his beautiful wife on August 1 after four years together, a day he considers one of the greatest blessings of his life. Above everything else, his faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation he tries to build his life on.

Bryson D***s

Bryson D***s is a third generation fireman who has been in the fire service since 2013, when he started with the Seymour Fire Department. He now serves with the City of Maryville Fire Department, where he takes great pride in serving his community and carrying on the traditions that have been passed down through generations of firefighters in his family.

Bryson believes integrity and accountability are at the core of what makes a good firefighter. He understands that the trust placed in us by the public and by each other is earned through preparation, professionalism, and always putting others before yourself. He also has a deep appreciation for the history of the fire service and believes it's important to honor those who came before us while preserving the traditions and lessons they left behind.

Outside of the firehouse, Bryson enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and appreciating the simple things in life.

Bryson embodies the values that the FOOLS stand for, and we're proud to have him as part of the brotherhood. Whether he's serving his community or spending time with those closest to him, he lives by a simple philosophy: stay humble, never stop learning, and always leave things better than you found them.
