Hi friends, here's a quick spring update from us!

Your prayers and support are transforming the lives of students here in Memphis! One of those students is Richard. He connected with us after his brother invited him to our weekly worship night on campus. This semester Richard started attending Matt’s small group Bible study, gave his life to Jesus, joined our discipleship class, and last month was baptized! We’re excited to see how the Lord continues to work in his life!

We hosted some major events on campus this semester to connect with new students, including a campus wide talent show for students to showcase their artistic talents and a giant glow-in-the-dark egg hunt on the lawn of a student dorm where over 130 students came out to enjoy free food, games, and an egg hunt for various prizes! These outreaches give us opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel with students.

We are wrapping up the spring semester now with a year end cookout and our last large group worship service. In the next few weeks we will begin preparing now for the summer and connecting with students who will be on campus for summer classes and Freshmen orientation.

PRAYER REQUESTS

- Please pray for our graduating seniors as they transition away from campus into both careers and ministry.

- Pray as well for the students we will connect with at this summer’s New Student Orientation sessions and those on campus for summer terms.

Last night we had an incredible glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn of the largest dorm on our campus. Students came out to enjoy some food, games, line dancing and an egg hunt where they could get candy and have a chance to win some great prizes.
We also had one of our recent graduates share her testimony, where she challenged students to get to know God and seek to follow him during their college years
We couldn’t have done this without one of our staff coming up with this amazing idea and an army of awesome volunteers who helped us serve.
Please pray that the connections we made with students at this event will turn into them making a connection with Chi Alpha, getting involved and learning more about Christ.

Just a few pictures form our incredible weekend at Tennessee Breakaway where we gathered with students from across the state to worship God. It was a beautiful time in the Lord’s presence. Please pray with us that students will carry the hunger and passion they experienced this weekend back to each of their campuses and share it with others

Hi friends, here's a quick FALL UPDATE from us!

We’re nearing the end of another impactful semester on campus and want you to know about some of the things your prayers and support are making possible here at the University of Memphis: Chi Alpha has been able to minister to over 100 students who are involved in our weekly small group Bible studies, worship gatherings, and outreaches. We have seen new commitments to Christ and keep finding students on who are hungry to know God. Students have been joining us twice a week for early morning prayer meetings and engaging with our special events and worship nights.

Last month we took students on Fall Retreat where they bonded with one another over outdoor activities and ropes courses. In the evenings we experienced the Lord’s presence together in intimate worship and several students testified to physical healings following a time of late night prayer.

We are preparing now to take students to our annual winter conference in North Carolina. Please pray that we are able to bring a record number of students this year and that students will be encouraged in their relationship with Jesus and challenged to reach their campus!
