A little over a year ago, we left the comfort and security of our lives as we knew them...a stable job...a mortgage....the white picket fence in search of something bigger and more meaningful than ourselves. We were living the American Dream and yet felt completely dissatisfied and unfulfilled in our day to day routine. After much planning, praying, and preparation, we abandoned the American Dream
in search of finding God's Dream and becoming part of His Big Adventure! We attended a YWAM DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Matamata, New Zealand, consisting of 12 weeks of classroom training followed by 8 weeks of outreach, during which we went to Fiji to show God's love and put into practice what we learned. We returned to Matamata after a lovely 5 week holiday in New Zealand, to take a second level YWAM training course, the FMS (Family Ministry School). During this school we felt certain of God's call on our lives and on our family to go into full-time ministry when our training course was completed. It has been an adventure with lots of ups and downs, sometimes more questions than answers...but we feel certain that God's plans for our family are good and that He will use us to further His good purpose in the lives of the people we minister to! We have a heart particularly for children and families and want to bring hope and healing to broken families, broken hearts, and broken dreams. We want to come alongside those who feel abandoned and rejected by mainstream society. Our hearts are broken for the broken, and hurt for the hurting and we long be used by God to bring restoration and fullness to the emptiness that is so prevalent in our world today.
