The Market Square Farmers Market is an open-air, producer-only farmers market managed by Nourish Knoxville and held every Wednesday and Saturday, May through October in the heart of downtown Knoxville.

Everything at the Market Square Farmers Market is grown, raised, and/or made by our vendors within a 150-mile radius of Knoxville, TN. Products vary by season and may include fresh fruits & vegetables, eggs, honey, pasture-raised meats, edible & ornamental plants, cut flowers, bread & baked goods, jams & jellies, coffee, artisan crafts, and more!

Our SHADES staff rolled right into Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week in the BEST way possible—at the roller skating rink!

From retro spins to questionable “graceful” stops (we’re looking at you, walls 👀), the laughter didn’t stop all night. One of the highlights? Our epic costume contest—congratulations to Ms. Logan for skating away with the win in style! 🏆🎭

And let’s talk dessert… 🍪🍰🍩 Our judges truly committed to their role—some might say they overdosed on sugar in the name of fairness. Worth it.

Mt. Olive SHADES Maker Market Family Event ✨

We are so proud of our Mt. Olive SHADES students for their incredible hard work and creativity! Over the past quarter, these young entrepreneurs have poured their hearts into developing business names, designing logos, creating products, and setting prices—all in preparation for this special event.

With the support of our amazing teachers and families, our students brought their ideas to life in a truly meaningful way. 💚

Because of their dedication and generosity, we are thrilled to share that we raised $423 for The Love Kitchen in Knoxville!

Our kids had an amazing week exploring all things Tennessee! ✨ From learning about our state animal and state flower to discovering the capitol and state flag, it was a week full of fun and learning.

We wrapped it all up with a hands-on activity where the kids practiced their motor skills by “pinning the star” on the flag —such a fun way to bring it all together!

MOES Outdoor Learning in Action! 📚

Our SHADES students at Mt. Olive are loving their outdoor classroom! They took advantage of the beautiful weather by bringing reading time outside—enjoying fresh air, sunshine, and a great book.

Reading outdoors not only makes learning more exciting, but also helps students relax, focus, and connect with their environment. It’s the perfect blend of literacy and nature!

Our students got creative with a hands-on “Healthy Flower” activity—building their very own flowers using fresh, colorful vegetables! As they designed their masterpieces, we explored the different parts of a flower and connected them to the nutritious veggies we can eat every day.

From crunchy stems to vibrant petals, students learned how healthy foods help our bodies grow strong while having fun with creativity and teamwork.

Learning + creativity + healthy habits = a blooming success! 🌱💚

The weather is looking amazing this weekend! ☀️

If you’re searching for a fun, family-friendly activity, consider heading to the Chalk Walk on Market Square. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, explore incredible chalk art created by talented artists, and spend quality time together in the heart of the community.

The Chalk Walk will take place downtown Knoxville/Market Square on April 11th, from 8 am - 5 pm.

This is a free event and perfect for all ages—come out, take a stroll, and be inspired! 🎨✨
