ETCRF is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting cardiovascular health through education, research and community service.

East Tennessee Cardiovascular Research Foundation was established in 2001 to promote cardiovascular health through education, research, and community service. We have raised more than $2 million dollars to support free health care in rural Appalachia, pediatric heart surgery in Haiti, and nursing education in East Tennessee. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are distributing N-95 masks to h

ealthcare workers on the front lines. The Foundation is staffed entirely by volunteers, including physicians, nurses and concerned members of the community. We have extraordinarily low overhead with exemplary fiduciary responsibility. Our donations go farther than most non-profits by eliminating overhead. We are promoting health and saving lives. We finished it. By far the hardest athletic feat I’ve ever done. 48 miles complete and over $1200 raised in the name of cardiovascular health. I’m so proud I chose this organization and so grateful for all the support. It’s never too late to donate! Time for an unbroken nights rest!

Update from Will Stafford…

Made it through the night! We are now 75% through it. We are starting to feel the cumulative miles, both mentally and physically. 36 miles down, 12 to go. Just have to grind out the rest. We are pretty tired but have a few runs with friends coming up so that should help spur us along!

24 miles in so we are halfway done! Still holding up well! Beautiful weather helped today! Fatigue is starting to set in but our mindset is still strong heading into the night runs. 24 hours left!!

Update from Will Stafford…

All is well through the first three legs! A little tired this morning as sleep was obviously pretty broken. So we are 12 miles in. Temperature was good overnight and, per the forecast, we have run our coldest leg which is great news! Excited for some warm weather runs today!
