The 3rd Edition of the Victoria Watoto Ladies Tournament 2025 was a groundbreaking success, transcending the realm of sports to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young women and girls. In a powerful collaboration with local organizations, we brought together a coalition of partners to support holistic development and empowerment.
Bright Future Community Based Organization (CBO) Led by Leslie Assurah , played a pivotal role in enhancing the tournament's impact. Their contributions included:
- Health Education
- Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness
- Menstrual hygiene education
- Provision of trophies, sanitary towels, and T-shirts for some tournament officials
- LVCT Health: Provided essential health services, including:
- HIV testing
- TB screening
- HIV prevention services
- Clinical services
- VIYA Health: Generously supported the tournament with sanitary towels, promoting menstrual hygiene and dignity.
- WAF Kenya: Contributed sanitary towels and offered mentorship, empowering young women with knowledge and confidence.
- RYTG: Provided photography services, capturing the tournament's moments and memories.
- Over 1,200 ladies received sanitary towels, ensuring they could participate in the tournament with dignity and confidence.
- Each player in need received at least one packet of sanitary towels, promoting menstrual hygiene and reducing stigma.
- The tournament featured comprehensive health education, GBV awareness, menstrual hygiene education, HIV testing, and clinical services, empowering young women with knowledge and skills.
The Victoria Watoto Ladies Tournament 2025 demonstrated the power of collaboration and collective impact.
