We are excited to introduce you to another one of our newest 2026 board members. Meet Donna Stokes!

What part of the Girls on the Run mission resonates with you the most and why?
Helping to build confidence and not only physical but mental health for young women. These are such important things to instill in young girls so that they flourish and grow as they get older.

How did you first get involved with Girls on the Run? What inspired you to join the board? I was inspired to join Girls on the Run after attending a womens session at a utility conference and I’m glad to be a part of this organization.

When you're not working or volunteering, what's a favorite hobby or way you like to spend your time?
I spend a lot of time at the ball field with my daughter who plays softball. I also like to workout and read psychological thrillers and sometimes do those things at the same time!

What’s a piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
Take risks and be bold. Travel and it’s okay to make mistakes.
