Pastor Stephen Dees serves as Program Director at Epperson Ministries, where he leads with humility, conviction, and a deep understanding of the transforming power of God’s mercy. In this role, Pastor Stephen oversees the structure, daily operations, and spiritual direction of the ministry’s recovery programs, ensuring that each man is guided with both biblical truth and compassionate accountability.

Pastor Stephen’s leadership is shaped by a powerful personal testimony. Raised in an environment marked by trauma, addiction, and instability, he spent many years trapped in cycles of substance abuse, criminal behavior, and incarceration. For much of his life, mercy was unfamiliar—until a life-altering encounter with Jesus Christ changed everything. Experiencing mercy for the first time became the turning point that reshaped his identity, restored his hope, and redirected his life toward God’s calling.

Through surrender, repentance, and submission to godly authority, Pastor Stephen learned that true freedom is found not in self-will but in obedience to Christ. His journey from addiction and prison to restoration and pastoral leadership stands as a living testimony to the redemptive mission of Epperson Ministries.

As Program Director, Pastor Stephen brings structure, clarity, and spiritual depth to the recovery process. He is passionate about building disciplined, Christ-centered programs that emphasize personal responsibility, renewed thinking, and practical application of God’s Word. His heart is not only to see men break free from addiction, but to walk in lasting transformation as restored leaders, fathers, and servants of Christ.

Pastor Stephen serves alongside his wife, Pastor Catt Dees, whose calling and compassion are a vital part of the ministry. Pastor Catt is deeply passionate about Celebrate Recovery and the healing work God accomplishes through biblical principles, honest confession, and authentic community. She carries a strong burden for individuals and families impacted by addiction, trauma, and codependency, and brings encouragement, wisdom, and spiritual leadership to those navigating the recovery journey.

Together, Pastor Stephen and Pastor Catt model restoration, transparency, and hope. Their lives reflect the heart of Epperson Ministries: that no one is beyond redemption, no story is beyond God’s grace, and that lasting change is possible through Jesus Christ.
